however you do need to be careful about drawing yourself to death with Zedruu.

true. gotta love negate. :) and those are great walls. really hard to kill either of them, and the price is fantastic at 1WU and 1U to cast.
I love this concept. always wanted to make a donate deck, because of cards like bronze bombshell and steel golem. the board control that you can have is staggering. only problem I see here is a lack of defense, which in reality is made up for with a strong offense. so all in all, great deck. :) I did build a bazaar trader deck, but it is way different than this. :)
you could throw in pact of negation for counterspells. or perhaps complicate?
Ok, but why choose to have to pay at all when you could have something bigger, and cheaper?
Another card you could put in here is quillspike.
Meh. I think that it depends on how high a value you place on playing a trading card game. If you feel that you shouldn't spend a ton of money (for any reason) on cards, then don't. And guildgates are just fine for a budget deck. To be truly competitive you should go with shock lands (or something similar) but if you feel they are too much... There is nothing wrong with that. :)
I agree. Cheaper to put out, probably going to be bigger, and has reach without having to pay for it each time.
Very interesting. :)
Yes,but it is cheaper than the boomerang in the long run,and easier to use too. It is 7 for the initial damage, but only 3 for each damage after. The boomerang is 5 each time, AND you have to have a creature out.
It isn't a sure counter, though it is an excellent soft counter. Also, (at the deck builder.) I don't see how adding xenograft will make an infinite combo. The effect is triggered when an ally enters the battlefield, but the wolves aren't entering as allies. They become an ally after entering.
Razor boomerang is way worse than all of them.
Pale moon is actually a fantastic control card. If you know that your opponent is running a lot of non basic lands, then it makes most of them pretty much useless. Which prevents them from casting spells, for lack of the right colored mana.
Yes, I understand how to build around it, but it just seems like a lot of work for very little payoff is all. That is what I mean by sketchy. It works, but it is almost too slow to be competitive. Sure it is fun in casual though.
It seems like a pretty sketchy combo. But it does make the card usable I guess. Personally I still don't think it is worth sacrificing a bunch of lands for it. Perhaps if you built a whole deck around that concept, to lessen the negative impact it has on you... It could be interesting I guess. Although I do have to note that my suggestions are bad as individual cards. Some of the cards on this list are very useful if put into the right deck. :)
Indeed it is. I should throw mana web in here. :)
Yeah, it is just vanilla is all. A 1/2 flyer for cheap.
STORM CROW for the WIN!!!!!!!!
So I see a lot of sub-par cards, but not the worst in the game. No camel?, or leeches? Or perhaps ruinous minotaur?
ok, so the fetch lands are pretty consistent. :)
