It could be worse. I had to ret-each someone how to play, (selftaught) and he thought that essence scatter countered creature abilities. His thinking was that it was a spell that a creature would use. Didn't know what summon sickness is,and I could go on forever. He didn't like black because it was too aggressive.

I will let you know. I will build it at some point and of course post it here after the design work is done. Of course all suggestions would be welcome. :)

Yeah, I am trying to design a B/R/W lockdown deck with him. It is pretty barebones right now though, haven't had time to put more thought into it yet. The basic idea is bazaar trader+painter's servant+alabaster leech and maybe contamination to deal with white decks.

The trader is an interesting card, and can be very useful, but I have to agree with yummip and say that it gives your opponent more ammo, and allows them to sit and wait a bit. I don't think the Trader is a waste of a turn, but it just seems like you don't have the cards to make it really shine in this deck. Maybe if you had some temp control cards, like act of treason and such it would be a major pain then.

Orzhov is what I like. White and black rocks.

It was a tough choice between this one and wumpus deck. You two, in my opinion, are the best deckbuilders on here. You make complex, and uber-powerful decks that I can only dream of being able to afford.

Very nice. I love the fact that it only has 10 lands. Not very often you see a deck that has less than 20-23 lands much less only 10. I have a friend who runs an elf deck that only has 10, but this is the only other one I have seen. Very, very cool. If I wanted to build a deck of this nature, how might I do that?

into the core would work, since it exiles the artifacts... but not anything that destroys. I am confused.

How? Naturalize destroys, and stuffy is indestructible... That doesn't work...

what do you have the trader for? what are you wanting to give to an opponent?

Maybe swap the whipflare for a rolling temblor, or blasphemous act. Again though RtR might have something that could suit you better. But until then... I would suggest one of those cards. :)

Hm... I don't know if it does actually. You should email wizards and confirm that it works. Go to the official site and it has the tech support address. If it works, it is an awesome work around of exalted. I hope it is legit.

I like it, but it is no substitute for normal magic. The game has some flaws in timing and passing of priority. Other than that, it is pretty fun. :)

Ok, so I know that this deck isn't standard but I need some help with it. It is based around dovescape. Any help that anyone could give me would be great.

I will be happy to help anyone else out here too. :)

True, bone splinters would probably be better here. I didn't see that you are only running a single swamp. Also, I am sure that RtR will have some new black (and possibly green) removal cards.

+/+ and -/- counters cancel each other out. Example: 5 +1/+1 counters on a creature. Play Grim affliction, put a -1/-1 counter on and proliferate, then it ends up with no -1/-1 counters but only 3 +1/+1 counters. And, it works the other way as well.

Well, here is a deck that I would like some ideas on, tried posting it before but with no success. It is a W/U deck based around dovescape.

Well, here are some of my favorite removal cards: Murder, terminate, and parasitic implant. You could even use bone splinters because of the undying.
