Since you are targeting yourself, I might suggest chain lightning instead of lightning bolt. It allows you to basically play 2 lightning bolts in a single card.

Lol... That's funny... Anyways... This is a very interesting deck. I do know that there is kind of a problem in that it has no creatures that stay on the field for more than a single turn. Meaning that actually killing your opponent is going to a little difficult... Which is kind of the purpose and fun of this deck: annoying the heck out of them by not letting them actually lose until they scoop out of frustration. :). I would love to build a similar deck though.
Actually the mirror stays. It says they shuffle everything they OWN into the library. They don't own it, just control it. So it stays on the field, and because they didn't actually lose the game... Control isn't handed back to the actual owner.
You know, I am not a huge fan of mono decks but I like this. Discard can be really nasty to play against. You have a pretty good standard showing for it here. :). How about sign in blood? Good for restocking your own hand, or giving them the last little push.
I have to agree, triumph of the hordes is good, but this isn't an infect deck, so that kinda lessens the effectiveness of the card. I would swap it for overrun, overwhelming stampede, or something like that.
Well, since you have blue, you could work corrupted resolve in. A Hard counter card for the same CMC as mana leak. If they are poisoned at least.
Well, if you are going to do that how about chain reaction for just one more red? It hits harder the more they have out?
How about Blood Reckoning?
I know that. I wasn't saying that any single card give the perfect defense. There are card combos that work really well, which is what I prefer.
Not saying your suggestion is bad. I was just curious about why you suggested to pull the Liliana is all. Like I said above, I will probably at least modify or for now, to see how it runs like that. And if I like it then it will stay like that. :)
Ok, so I still gotta ask: Why the dark ritual? I know it is a great ramp card, but I honestly can't see how it helps me gets my key pieces out, since none of the lock cards are black. Also, (and I am not trying to be rude or anything, but) you do know that Liliana is the killing card here, combined with the shade or the exsanguinate, right? Her ultimate ability quadruples the mana of my swamps. But, I will take your suggestion, and make those changes, and see of it runs faster. Admittedly though I don't have the money to spend on either of those tutors right now.
Ok, so what would you suggest that I take out for some of the tutors and lands? I can't take out any creatures, because they all serve a specific purpose, aside from the fiend of the shadows, and even that can be useful. What changes would you make here?
very interesting. I love slumbering, and talrand. :) the dragon is a particularly nasty starting defense. it can get big really fast... :)
since you have white and green in here you could swap stream of life for dawnglow infusion if you play it with white and green you gain double the life. only downfall is it isn't target player... I have always wanted to see a cool deck with false cure in it. very nice. :)
um... platinum angel costs 1 less than platinum emperion... o.0 it is only 7 mana. Also, personally I don't care for either card. it is a great defense while it is out, but way too easy to get rid of. naturalize, solemn offering etc... I prefer things that are harder to get rid of.
ok, so here is a concept deck that I have designed. I would really like some input on it. It is a W/B/R lockdown deck based around alabaster leech and bazaar trader. It is in a "finished" state, but of course is flexible. Also, as with many other "decks" that I have posted here I don't have this, as much as I would like to. maybe some day... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=376354
Perhaps you might throw in fire servant, to double the fling damage.
What about vorinclex? He doubles land-mana output, and makes opponents wait an extra turn to untap their lands.
Yes, xDysania, I know that -1/-1 counter do that, but again the card in question was naturalize. Also, they don't "destroy" the creature. It just dies because it's toughness is 0 or less, thereby getting around regenerate and indestructible. I was simply pointing out that a naturalize would not get rid of stuffy doll.
True, except that it is way expensive to put out. Too slow.
