cool story bro. this is obviously not a competetive build.

not to mention the fact that youre wrong. that is NOT the competerive EDH B/R list, as competetive EDH is a 1v1 format, not a group play format, which the SUGGESTED B/R list was designed for. there is an entirely different B/R list for 1v1 duals, that includes such cards as Serra Ascendant and Sol ring. but thanks for setting me straight with your vast knowledge of the format.

the banned list in EDH is simply a suggestion. The format is casual. many play groups have modified B/R lists.

for simplification purposes, R/B/U color combo is called Grixis.

this deck would likely not preform well in the current tournament format, based on the large number of creatures, and low level of consistency that provides. that being said, I think this deck looks super fun to play, and as a casual guy, Nicol Bolas wrecks house lol.

you can only have one each of non basic lands in an EDH deck. also, you have 2 banefire in there.

work on your mana base. while basic lands are fine, there are plenty of RW lands out there that make the deck more effective. go check out my Tajic EDH for ideas.

interesting idea, but its pretty expensive to get going, and requires 4 pieces. could be fun though.

since youre running this out of standard, I would drop the guildmage(who is easy to deal with with creature removal) and add Sanguine Bond, the enchantment that does the same thing as Vizkopa Guildmage, only becomes much more difficult to remove.

ahaha...I come home from work and find an episode of Oprah going on here......lulz

point is, this is a casual/fun deck. Even us tournament players build them to fuck around with when we gat sick of playing our tourney decks (hell, I ran a bad guttersnipe deck in the third Gameday event this last weekend after finishing first and second in the two before) its a game guys.

pretty sure this is meant to be a casual deck, pal. he probably wont be playing against super aggro or turn 3 wins with it....

its nice to get them out for cheap, however when you use ammy or piper to play them, they dont get all their effects, for esaple, Emrakul only gives you an extra turn if you CAST him from your hand. not saying the deck wont work, just pointing out that little speedbump. looks like a fun deck.

looks better, but im telling you, it will run so much smoother if you have a couple ways to keep your board safe.
drop the Tormented soul and 2 Thrull Parasites to add 2 Rootborn defenses(to play in response to Mizzium Morters or Supreme Verdict) and 4 Aetherize (to keep your extort triggers from having to block fatties by just sending them back to the opponents hand)

no trouble. your deck needs Rancor, and Tribute to Hunger. good luck.

taking a bad 6 drop helps with mana fixing. you dont need a ton of mana to run this deck without that mana hog.
I do like Tithe Drinker better than Thrull Parasite though...Lifelink is a thing.

look at how much work went into that deck on that link to make a halfway decent FNM deck....If Im paying 6 mana for something, it better be good on its own, and not require another 4 drop to be good. Crypt Ghast makes a lot of things good, because CRYPT GHAST IS GOOD, not because Pontiff is good.

seriously, try this:
-2 Pontiff of Blight
-4 Artful Dodge
-4 Tormented Soul
-2 Thrull Parasite

+4 Invisible Stalker
+4 Aetherize
+2 Rootborn Defenses
+2 Blind Obedience
