we will talk about it in your decklist, so as to not clutter his with randomness

how does giving your oppnent life help you win? alms beast is pretty bad.
ill take a look, but admittedly, I had to net deck my modern deck, so i dont know how much help ill be, standard is my thing
its good, but not really in the control format.
Dimir charm is SUPER underplayed
you HATE Devour Flesh, but dont have another option, you say? I present to you Tribute to Hunger! Card Information Instant 2B Card Rules Target opponent sacrifices a creature. You gain life equal to that creature's toughness. Flavor Text Marella was delighted. The ball had attracted so many suitors for her daughter, including that handsome stranger. She wondered where the two were now... instead of THEM gaining that life for that big nasty you want gone....YOU get it! how has no one suggested this to you yet? buncha jerks, i tell ya.
izzet isnt close to azorius in the control format. its great for counter/burn, but if its not used early, its a pillar, without the benefit.
shes only $10 now. she might drop again when the set cycles in October, if no more exalted stuff gets spoiled for M14
you write too much but I agree with nearly all of it. well done. Dont forget the other uses for pillar, and the reason it is a mainboard instead of a sideboard. it deals Extremely well with Voice, but also handles aggro threat like Gravecrawler, Strangleroot Geist, Young wolf, and any other undying/graveyard BS they can throw around.
I know its "budget" but Sublime Archangel has fallen hard in price over the past couple months, and should be reletively east yo trade for. I say this because she is EXPONENTIALLY better than Nefarox, who is not only bad, but legendary, so he can only be on the field in one copy. Subline could be playing her third copy by the time you can play the first Nefarox, but you weouldnt need to because the game would be over.
Sol ring is banned in 1 on 1 play, so that could be why thats not here.
why chromatic lantern? it cant change what your lands produce, even if yo needed it to, which you dont....i guess it could make your colorless lands produuce red...but that seems like a wasted slot to me. also who is your general? you should sideboard it so its easy to find
if he has one in his hand. its better to use duals to fix the mana base. it always has been
im not too sure whats going on here, but I am sure that you have too many black and white mana symbols in the deck for 2 each plains and swamps. you should probably be running 8 island, 5 swamp, 5 plains, 4 terramorphic expanse to wensure you get a proper mana base on the battlefield.alternatively, there are an abundance of black/blue, black/white, and blue/white dual lands that are very inexpensive. you could run those. Seachrome Coast, Darkslick Shores, Orzhov Guildgate, Azorius Guildgate, Dimir Guildgate, just do a search for land on this site, and pick the ones that produce the colors you need.
thanks. Ive got a tough play group though. lol
Not a bad idea. Jace is coming out for Tamiyo when I get some, and Im probably going to sideboard Azorius Charm for Geist. I havent played this one yet. looking forward to the weekend so I can
take your time, enjoy. dont overload yourself lol. no...my decks are pretty bad. I only have a couple I would even think of taking to a PTQ.
lol I havent had this deck together for months...
I know :) seriously, though. save that link. its SUPER helpful. especially when you start studying to be a judge.
Shoeski1123 postsIndestructible doesn't prevent mass removal like Supreme Verdict :)it absolutely does. Hexproof does not, and prot/color does not. Indestructible does. 700.4. If a permanent is indestructible, rules and effects can't destroy it. (See rule 701.6, Destroy.) Such permanents are not destroyed by lethal damage, and they ignore the lethal-damage state-based action (see rule 704.5g). Rules or effects may cause an indestructible permanent to be sacrificed, put into a graveyard, or exiled.heres a link to the rest of the Comprehensive Rules, so you can read up :)http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Comprehensive_Rules
