Would probably put the artifact destruction cards in your sideboard, and only use them against people who use a lot of artifacts.

Fling is a very nice card. It breaks through an opponent's creature base. It would work in this deck because he is not running a single card that removes his opponent's creatures.

Yep. Well said, magiccontroller. It was what i was saying too. A deck with one win condition that consists of a single creature, is insane! But i got hammered suggesting a Kiln Fiend or Nivix Cyclops. Go figure.

Duh, Psychotic Fury does not work with Kiln Fiend. And duh, Flinging a Psychonauts is crazy. BUTTTTTTTT, Kiln Fiend/nivix/fling is a second win condition! It makes the deck WAY MORE consistent!

I mean, there are entire websites dedicated to teaching Magic Players the idea of using more than one win condition in a deck. Especially if the one win condition is CREATURE BASED.

So, dark ritual isn't modern. Thoughtseize is. Surgical extraction is. So is Bribery. Confiscate is. Lightning Bolt is Modern. Cancel is modern. Any flying chump blocker. A dozen other single cards that could stop this deck dead in it's tracks, is modern.

I really like the deck and idea. Just needs another creature like Nivix Cyclops as a back up.

First turn for me:
I play Swamp. Dark RItual. Duress. Blackmail. Surgical extraction.

Okay. I surgical extract your Dragonnauts on the very first turn. You lose on the very first turn. Game over!!! Why? Because you have one card in your entire deck that can win the game for you. THAT IS IT!!! ONE CARD! ONE WIN CONDITION!

You have one card for your win condition. Not being mean...but that is weak!!!

You need a second win condition. Every deck needs a second win condition. That is where Nivix or Kiln comes into play.

Okay, no fling. Wasn't even my idea to begin with. I thought it could work. t least add something like Kiln Fiend or Nivix. Just as a back up.

Take some cards out :) You have too many. I would try to run 60 cards. And try to run 4 copies of most cards you want. Your deck is a good start!

Yes. The idea my friend, is once you have a creature or two out (like Guttersnipe or Pyromancer), to be able to cast an instant or sorcery every single turn. I think 20 instants and 16 creatures sounds nice! Tell me how it goes!

Very good stuff. I have a deck running Fling too. Check it out. I liked this deck! 5 mana decks are insane. I want to try to build one soon. Check my deck out and see what you think.

So far, I like Dantanius posting about Locket of Yesterdays. I agree. It is a weak card! Do not like it.
a2hotz is right too. Fling is a great option in this deck. Pump up your Dragonnauts, then fling him past your opponent's creatures.
Cruncher, myself, and Soul of Mirrodin all think Kiln Fiend and Nivix Cyclops would be a good addition.

So, maybe:
-4 Drift of Phantasms
-3 Locket of Yesterdays

Add:
+4 Kiln Fiend
+3 Fling.

I think it would work. Would make the deck red more...though. May have to change your lands.

Kiln Fiend. Good card to use.

You need to run more Instant and Sorcery cards. Less creatures. I don't run Standard...can't help you much on which cards to switch out.
