Sorry, my mind is on Modern. Those two are still banned in Extended. Needle Specter, Abyssal Specter, Larceny, Death Denied, Jester's Cap and Eradicate are also banned in Extended. Megrim, Hypnotic Specter, Scepter of Fugue and Coat of Arms are legal, but are phasing out of Extended on 5 October 2012.
Liliana's Caress is a better option than Megrim, it costs {1} less :) Hymn to Tourach and Dark Ritual are not Modern Legal. You can check what is and is not legal for any format here: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=judge/resources/banned
In case Avacyn doesn't come out, Oblivion Ring on one of your own creatures would leave you with one after Worldslayer activates.
I'm changing it up a bit and going to test it this coming friday. I'll see how it goes and edit afterwards.
It's actually a very delicate procedure on when to play what and how many to play. A Sleeper Agent on turns 1 to 3 is a bad idea. If you know the opponent is playing mass removal / damage, play only one or two Priests / Seekers and rely more on the enchantments. Against an Intangible Virtue deck, give as little creatures as possible, the opponent does that already. The overall play is "as long as I'm still alive after a Stronghold Discipline", so the 'fog' cards are for mid / late game. I'm also trying to rework the deck to splash blue for Hunted Phantasm and I'm also thinking of putting Blood Artist in sideboard for playing against mass removal :p
Bloodthrone Vampire + token production (eg: Krenko's Command and ?Thatcher Revolt) makes for another big creature. Also Blood Artist mite be good in this type of deck.
I suggest trying to work in some Bosk Bannerets.
No Clifftop Retreat?
:D I like finding ways to make good decks that aren't horribly expensive ($ wise). This does tend to make me use obscure cards and combo / mini-combos, but it's fun :)
Personally I'd cut Falkenrath Exterminator (it doesn't quite fit the aggressive feel I'm getting here) and Battle Hymn (you shouldn't need to ramp for a miracled Bonfire). Additionally I'd lower Bonfire to 2 (max 3, you should be doing enough damage via creatures to not really need it at all, but it does work well as a finisher) and lower Havengul Vampire's count to 2 (or 3, it costs too much mana for an agro deck). This should open slots for Vampiric Fury and burn spells like Pillar of Flame and Searing Spear (Spear sided boarded with Thinderbolt against flying heave decks). After thinking about it, you shouldn't need a 'lord', so Adaptive isn't needed (and it phases out in October). Besides, Rakish Heir acts as a good enough 'lord' in here :)
Thanks. I'm not sure if I like Murder, yes it doesn't have restrictions, but it does cost 3 mana... This is actually made of what I own and (unfortunately) I don't own any Lili's :'( but even if I did have any, I'm not sure I'd play her (never been too fond of planeswalkers).
Beastmaster Ascension can turn that hord of 1/1's into a HORD of 5/5's.
You forgot an important spell for this type of deck - Vampiric Fury. Splashing black to include Stromkirk Captain can be done by using Drogonskull Summit and Blackcleave Cliffs. Alternatively, a cheaper option is Evolving Wilds and Shimmering Grotto. Or if you don't want to splash black, there is still 1 more option I can think of to add a 'lord' - Adaptive Automaton.
Mono Black Infect is a deck type I fear playing against in any format, but one card I've had used on me time and time again by our resident MBI player that is horribly underrated is Virulent Wound. It slows down so many decks by killing their 1 drop creature and starts your poison count on the opponent. There've been quite a few games where I lost because just the rite amount of poison counters that would not have been if Virulent Wound wasn't cast on my one drop.
Paradox Haze can give you extra upokeeps for more Honden activations.
I've already had a shot at designing an "unblockable" rogue deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=318715
Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is a Zubera's best friend :p
I may be able to get some Sadistic Sacrament tonight :) I've always wanted to make a deck that kicks a sacrament (to remove 15 lands) and then cast Mind Funeral, but that's a combo for another build :p
I should get my hands on a set of each before Return to Ravnica, in case their prices go up. I'll probably add them onto an order when I order the 1 Clifftop Retreat I'm short of :|
