Oddly enough, this deck makes me want to make a Modern legal version. I'd have to use Pyrohemia instead of Pestilence as Pestilence isn't Modern legal, but that also opens me to cards like Kor Firewalker, Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix :p

Two enchantments you may want to think of including: Intangible Virtue Parallel Lives Also don't forget about the Innestrad cards that produce tokens (like Doomed Traveler, Midnight Haunting, etc.)
A posible replacement for Gavony Township is Oran-Rief, the Vastwood.
The redesign may take a while, I need to make a new Standard deck :/ Another idea I've had is to use Conspiracy to turn Saprolings or Elves (lots of tokens on each) into Spirits. What do you think of Thornbite Staff for Lifespinner? it mite eliminate the need of Living End / Death if a fast enough token production can be done.
-2 Seedborn Muse, +2 Murkfiend Liege ? Also, Gavony Township reqires white mana to activate. I don't see a white mana source in here?
One of the best parts of this magical game we call Magic, is the versatility and variety of cards. This results in there not being a "must do" for deck building, other than the minimum 60, maximum 4 copies and banned lists. That being said, here's a few good ideas that tend to work for any deck: :- Try stick as close to the 60 card minimum as possible. This helps increase the chance of drawing what you want or need sooner. :- Maximizing the copies of you cards also helps increase the chance of drawing what you want or need sooner. But there are a few cases where 4x isn't as good. If a card costs a lot of mana and / or is a legend, 2x or 3x should be enough, but that's also dependant on how crucial the card is to your win condition. :- Generally 22 to 24 lands is enough for a 60 card deck. All 3 points have exceptions, but these are just general guidelines that I follow. You may also want to be careful of too many different affects in one deck. A "single minded" deck plays smoother and wins more often than just a bunch of random cards.
Sadly, it can't block either untill the required number of +1/+1 counters are on it...
Nice to see I inspired you to make a "better" version of my deck :p I've been racking my brain on how to make this idea a Modern legal deck and still have it work well. The biggest problem I've had is Living Death's replacement. Best I can find is Living End, but the suspension gives the opponent time to fill his / her library too :/ I've been thinking on a rebuild "from the ground up" using Honden of Life's Web as a supply of spirits for Lifespinner's sacrifice ability :|
You may like the elementals with Evoke from the Lorwyn / Shadowmoor block. When you play them for their Evoke cost, you have to sacrifice them immediately and you get an affect from when they enter /leave the battlefield :p
I did some research on rules concerning Genesis Wave. If you reveal and play Wheel of Sun and Moon as part of the wave's ability, anything you don't play goes to the bottom of your library in any order you like :p
Thank you Gary and Ian. This site has some great deck builders on this site that have helped me a lot over the years, so I honestly thank you for an awesome website :D
Ring of Valkas would work wonders in here. It can grant haste to your dragons, but it can also speed up the +1/+1 counter gain on Slumbering Dragon.
I've yet to try out my Shivan Wumpus, but the potential problem I see is you could be stuck drawing only it every turn (if you cast it every turn and he sac's a land each time). This could lose you some tempo and if the opponent has enough out to not care about the land sac'ing, you could be in trouble. That being said, 4 for a 6/6 trampler is frigging awesome :p
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't 21 damage from a General result in a win? If so, Heartless Hidetsugu is kinda broken
Personally I dislike Servant of Nefarox, it's 1 toughness is the main reason. I run a mono black exalted deck. I use Tormented Soul and Vampire Nighthawk as mu unblockables. I also use Ring of Xathrid for additional pump / regeneration and Inquisitor's Flail (it's insane on an unblocked creature)
100% correct :D
Elvish Archdruid seems out of place here, though if you add a set of Arbor Elf it may become a useful card. Thragtusk and Wolfir Silverheart are good big green creatures that you may want to consider using. I don't see Fog as a mianboard card in here, you should be the one with the problem creatures, not the opponent. As long as you're doing more damage than your opponent (as you should be), your life isn't that important.
More Sadistic Sacrament style cards, hand hate (Thoughtseize, etc) and counterspells can help protect the creatures. But like I said, you don't want to have too many different things. Ever thought of using Reminisce and Elixir of Immortality style cards to get back your spells and dead creatures back?
Not sure what I would change to make this better without playing with / against this deck, it looks quite solid. There is one trick I found with landfall while trying to make a pauper Boros deck and it could work with Hedron Crab too - a Dimir Aqueduct in hand and another in play. All you do is play one and return the other, that's one landfall trigger every turn :)
True, but you also don't want to do too many different things. Hmmm... Some upgraded versions of the cards you're already using couldn't hurt (eg Nephalia Drownyard to replace Duskmantle, House of Shadow). Something I've always wanted to pull off was a kicked Sadistic Sacrament (removing lands) followed by Mind Funeral >:) There's also an equipment you may or may not like for this deck: Mask of Riddles Being black and blue, it'll get two triggers off of Circu, Dimir Lobotomist and it provides combat evasion (in the form of 'fear') for creatures like Dimir Cutpurse, whatever Dimir Doppelganger copies, etc. Personally I think Mindleech Mass costs too much mana. Unless you have a way of getting it into your grave to copy with Dimir Doppelganger, I'd personally remove it.
