I was thinking of switching the swords to plowshares for exile in that situation, but I guess I could sideboard a strong life gain, too. Thanks. Good advice.

Not that I went to a store ;). If u try the equips, flyers or shadow creatures are good additions.
No prob. I still think the angel is faster, though. If u morph it the cost is a fourth turn land, which is why 4 set me back $25, and in a store 15 - $20 a pop.
I can't help but think vulgar thoughts whenever I look at dermoplasm. It's a wonder u wanna play it so often. Great use of it though, and I'd suggest replacing the elves with birds of paradise if u can afford 'em.
This isn't standard, so I'd suggest a couple exalted angel if u could afford it, or vindicate; unless u play extended, but if not, the angel would be faster than the avatar or horror. I'd also suggest 2 more batwing brume instead of dawn charm and 2 loxodon warhammer/swords of light and shadow instead of agent of masks. Check out my shadow deck, and leave any comments pleaze.
I would consider cutting down ure multi-colored spells. It would change a lot, but if u use Soltari Priest and Sunforger u could search for great instants like the ones u have. The equip is awesome with first/double strike creatures and u can search for 1 Hidetsugu's Second Rite that would end the game real quick.
U don't have to answer my questions... the one important one about mana burn. I found the answer to it. Thanks anyway.
Also, I don't understand the use of the forest. When would u ever need to use the guildmage's green ability?
I would toss in a couple cryptic command jz incase u don't have the guildmage out or if u lack auras. I was wondering, if u generate mana before combat phase, would u mana burn if u choose to use that mana after the combat has ended, during the second phase?
I think lash out is far better than incinerate. It allows the opportunity for 6 possible damage / among 2 targets. In a deck that isn't straight burn, it's more important to eliminate obstacles (creatures) to deal direct damage with ure permanents. The lash out focuses on this ideal and has a bonus for those who follow it to heart ;)
I like to be old school about my decks. The new "beast" to be played is avatar, though. I agree these are far more powerful.
The idea of a faerie deck is to never play creatures unless it stalls ure opponent. I would take out the queen and put in another scion and mistbind clique. U don't need 4 conclave if u have 4 mutavaults. Knock the conclave to 2. Add more creatures or 2 pendelhaven. I was wondering, if mana is generated before combat phase, do I mana burn if I use it after the combat ends, during my second phase?
It was fun working on ure deck. Check out any of mine and leave any comments or suggestions. I'm always willing to learn more from others' views.
One more thing. If u add the artifacts, whether u add 3 or more, I would replace 4 island and 4 mountain with with Seat of the synod and Great Furnace. Then fit Tinker in to ure deck somewhere. That should get the draw equip faster if u needed it, or an isochron scepter, too.
I added a vampiric, I guess u were right Aman, at least in theory. It should be better with it though.
PS. if u didn't understand the use of reya dawnbringer. U would use buried alive turn 3. Or turn 1 with dark ritual. Bury reya, dragon mage, and mizzet. Use Reanimate, Animate Dead, Dance of the Dead, Exhume, or Zombify to bring out reya. She would, in turn, bring out the dragons.. i'd suggest dragon mage first to attack first. A reanimator would change too much in ure deck, though... keep it ure flavor I suppose.
Actually, rathi dragon would stop u from putting out the mizzet. Change to Fledgling Dragon or rakdos pit dragon. Sux though, Rathi is such a powerhouse.
I really don't like Niv-Mizzet decks. They're so slow even though red is a color involved. It's surprising, and disappointing. I would suggest burying the dragon, and other cards like reya dawnbringer and dragon mage with a buried alive. That would be so much more powerful, but if u keep the UR format, I would change the creatures. 2 Rathi dragon, 4 Mogg Fanatics, 1 Sol Ring in there somewhere. Change the curiosity to Mask of Memory or Sword of Fire and Ice. U could switch creatures when u get'm
PS. Unless ure strictly casual carefree play, I would sideboard some spot removal and more discard. U wouldn't wanna waste mana on something like Mortify if u could use a terror or shriekmaw. Or if ure opponent lacks creatures u would hate not having more discard.
Gerrard's Verdict is probably better than castigate. Depends on when u use it. Early it could help a lot due to the fact that ur opponent wouldn't want u to gain life. Later, ure opponent may only have 2/3 cards left. Plus u could use it on ureself. Loxodon Warhammer might be nice here, too. Especially with the flyers. Or Sword of Light and Shadow. PS. I think Teysa sucks and dark ritual takes up space better suited for spot removal. Jz preconstruct b4 play (2 spell for one land +normal shuffle)
