Gideon is my favorite planeswalker. I just think he's control, but so aggressive!!

Elspeth is good sometimes, but in this deck I think she's too slow. :/

And thanks, (:

I'd really find a spot to maindeck hexmage. and also, inquisition is so much better than duress now.

but this looks similar to the a blue black vamp in the paris grand prix

elspeth... eh. who needs her when you have a bunch of low cost creatures, gideon to protect yourself, and garruk to make tokens? :P
elspeth, in my opinions, is one of the worst planeswalkers

...why's everyone being so harsh?
this guy made a deck the way he wanted to, either constructively criticize it or don't comment at all.

who cares if it was cheated, so many do it now a days that it's just the norm on this site.

i think everyone needs to chill and stop talking to this guy like he's worthless.
grow up, guys.

you mean your deck doesn't want to be in the position where it destroys your opponents creatures for raw power? ;P

well, surewhynot is clearly better at stompy than I am, but lets see what I've learned from him.

stompy is all about mana efficiency, which means that every card you play you're really getting the most out of it. since these decks are so efficient, they usually only run about 16-18 lands.

a stompy deck should only have about 2 'bombs', khalni hydra is good for this, because it can be played so fast with all the mana excels.

on the topic of mana excels, usually you'd want no more than 6 (depending on the circumstances). birds of paradise is prob. the best of its kind, but besides him there are arbor elves and llanowar elves.

with all the efficiency, they play out their hands fairly quick, so you NEED a way to draw into more cards. infiltration lense works like a charm.

some stompy cards you may want to look at are leatherback baloth and garruk's companion. they get the MOST out of their cost, and are just powerful as hell.

stompy usually uses a lot of pump spells, i.e. giant growth, primal bellow, etc. but it ABUSES overwhleming stampede. that's usually overkill.

but i think thats about the basics of stompy. efficiency, card draw and power. (:

Regardless of format, a bunch of singles means no consistency.
I'm not arguing that this deck can't hit 100 life, because it's very possible.
but can this deck hit 100 life the same way each time? probably not.
my only advice is to single out your best cards, and get multiple copies of them. it adds more consistency. sure, variety is good, but variety in the random sense is more or less... winging it.

Thanks man, I'm glad you like it. :D

The students are going to stay at 2, because although they are good and a 1 drop at that, if I added a 3rd I'd have to take out something else. :/

And while Ajani is good in a lot of decks, but I feel he'd only heighten the mana curve in this one.

Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate them, and I'm glad you like the deck. :D

well, I'm a standard player, so all my advice would be standard.
but also as a standard player, i think lifegain decks are fairly weak now, in the sense that they try to stall for too long, and then find it difficult to hold the board.

I see what you're trying to do here, but honestly I think it's too slow. Even with the semblance anvil, spine will still cost 5. and in order to get spine and venser on the field, that'll take a min. of 6 turns.
with all the aggro nowadays, that's not exactly easy.

proliferate is really too slow to be effective, too. it's a nice though, but only 1 of everything for like.. usually 4 mana is just too slow.

its about 2 in the morning right now, and I'm extremely tired, haha. so sorry I couldn't be of much use to you D:
my best advice if you want to keep the combo, is splash green. green's mana excel will help this deck out a lot to really trigger the combo.
but i do like the semblance anvil idea.

(sorry I JUST noticed the chalices, hahahaha. well, like I said, I'm tired.)

how do you find this deck runs?
get back to me and ill try and offer suggestions when im rested :D
