i would actually make the argument that due to space-times implicit nature, you could do this at a sanctioned standard event and the officials would be powerless to stop you

oh, i forgot to mention that once you pull off the combo you can simply say: this combination is now a legal combo in the game of magic, and it was before the match started. That fixes the problem
