Nice deck, but if memory serves, I was the first person on this site to use Liquimetal + Splinter :p

I fail to see why Llanowar Elves isn't in the mainboard :|

Ever think of using the Myr that add mana? The splicers tend to be a bit pricy (mana). Annother card I can suggest is Semblance Anvil. A Myr imprinted on the Anvil reduces the cost of your creatures or artifacts my {2} :p

I see you're using a lot of cards that force you to discard cards, have you thought about using Bloodghast? It comes back from the grave to the battlefield when you play a land :p

"This card's text does not override other format-imposed restrictions on the number of cards. For example, in a Highlander format, you would still only be allowed one Relentless Rat."

Gavaleers are an awesome addition, but your choice in equips bothers me. I run 4x Infiltration Lens and that works awesomely. I've often had this as my stating play:
Turn 1 - Land, Goblin Gavalier
Turn 2 - Land, Infiltration Lens, equip, attack for 3
With Infiltration Lens you can be reckless with your attacks because if you get blocked, you draw cards and you want that in a goblin deck :p

I run a goblin artifact deck and I find Adaptive Automaton doesn't work too well. The +1/+1 is nice, but it costing 3 is too high a casting cost. I try keep mine 2 casting cost or less, with the only 3 cost being Goblin Chieftain because the haste is worth it.
Here's the current version of what I'm running:
Ded's Goblins (revamp) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=205604
I'm still working on what to change for post 30 Sep

Maybe, but I've found in multiplayer the game is all about politics. Eg: "psst... I'll fog his attack if you help me kill him"

You'd be surprised how many people I can take out in multiplayer with my deck, the key is to "spread the love" with Forbidden Orchard's giving creatures and only give ALOT of creatures to the person you want to kill a turn or two before you kill them :p (you should have whittle down the health of that person to about 10 before doing this)

I got one word for your orb - Crush

But seriously, DAM, that's a good idea, but still you rely on the orb a bit much then... the orb and pod. Any artifact hate will kill your deck, so get some counterspells.

Bloodlord of Vaasgoth isn't getting full use in this deck, you only have 6 Vamps in the deck.
Scepter of Empires will make a nice sideboard card for in case you go against a deck that kills Goblin Fireslinger before he becomes usefull.
I personally prefer Grasp of Darkness (or Dismember) over Go for the Throat, but that's personal opinion.

You so need to check my deck "Attack me, I dare you", it fits the 'Discourage you're opponents from attacking' theme so nicely (also one of my favourite decks I actually own :p )

The current version I'm using doesn't have any red in it.

The only 'artifact search' card that I can think of is a Rise of Eldrazi card called "Ancient Stirrings" (RoE is still standard until 30 September 2011)

Small problem - part Phage's rules text reads "if you didn't play it from your hand, you lose the game."

LOL :D Awesome idea, but sadly the only Grenades I have are in my current version of my standard Gobbies deck (I havn't posted it here yet, still working out the kinks)

The deck is not only about Blightsteel, There's Phyrexian Juggernaut, Putrefax and Phyrexian Hydra too, plus this deck is just for fun.

I'd love to go against this with my Elf deck.
Elves VS Merfolk is a long running battle in my group and we're pretty much equal, so I'd like to try my elves against another merfolk deck :p
I also wouldn't mind trying my standard gobbie deck against a deck like this :D
