The fastest way to determine this is playtesting. Another thing to consider is if something else would be better in that slot. If you're playing white is this better than stony silence, if playing blue is this better than ceremonious rejection? If you're building a modern budget deck then there are better options instead of control/tempo. Budget control and tempo suffers from being waaaaayyyyy too slow. Just my thoughts.

Protecting angel tokens is very win-more. If you already have 5 angel tokens you're probably already winning the game. Flying is more than enough to push damage through, which is why I suggest giver of runes since it can protect your non white combo pieces as well. And hand hate with hard removal is usually way better than fog.
No problem man, thanks for all the work you put in.
Honestly I have no idea, haven't played modern in quite a while. But isn't Jund and Jeskai Stoneblade the flavor of the month? Those all have mainboard removal. Besides, protecting combo pieces is a little different than protecting an aggro piece. I'd rather see 4 giver of runes over brave the elements and safe passage. Batwing Brume seems very meh in this deck, would rather see the full playset of paths and some inquisitions. Would probably just play the full set of Bitterblossom over the 2 zombie infestation and some something for card draw over the murder investigation, maybe Night's Whisper?Like I said though, haven't played Modern for like, a year. I just occasionally look at the top decks. I also have no idea what the local meta for this deck is.
It's probably just a way to protect Bishop of Wings.
I like that, instead of searching by tags you just click on the tab of the format you want to look out sounds much better.
It's nothing to do with the site itself, I enjoy all the tools you offer, particularly your search engine. The mechanics of the site itself is great. It's other users unwillingness to reciprocate advice/comments/likes, which is what I mean by no incentive. Why offer advice only to be ignored; And honestly that has nothing to do with the site and there is nothing you could really do in order to get people talking to each other. It's all in the attitudes of the users. The only thing I could think of to help that is to make showing the price an option for users, but looking up card prices is super easy these days so it likely wouldn't actually change anything. On a brighter note, keep up the good work. Like I said, I enjoy pretty much everything else about the site. The layout, the search engine and the profile pages to see what decks I have saved. The one thing I would change (which is an incredibly minor thing) about it is whenever you go back to an old deck to change/add cards you have to manually click on the add card button every time to add/change cards. I would personally like to see the add card function to just always be there for ease of use, this would save a minuscule amount of time on my end. Again, this is incredibly minor and is very easy to live with and I have no idea how hard that would be to change from a coding perspective.
I mean, complaining about the what amounts to the entry cost of Modern and Legacy is fine and completely justified; But complaining about a casual format that is usually played at home amongst friends, where no one is going to care if you have a few proxies, is asinine.
My biggest issue with vault is unless decks are below 50 dollars, it's just complaints about the price of the deck. It's either a budget deck or an article deck, otherwise you're not going to get the likes/comments or what have you. So yes, I do use this as simply a resource to tweak decks and theory craft edh/standard decks. There just isn't any incentive for someone like me to participate in this community, and every time I've tried just ends up with people whining about the price of the deck, even though 90% of it is the mana bases. Honesty, edh is the most casual of formats that have ever existed, unless you're going to sanctioned events with prize support, nobody should care about less than 10 proxies in an edh deck. Especially among friends. My playgroup proxies the duals that we don't have all the time, because none of us are going to buy duals for commander. And I do like and comment on decks that catch my eye, there just aren't that many.
Curtains' Call and Seasons Past are fantastic cards.Pull from eternity, riftsweeper and Mirror of Fate are usually necessary, since people see gates and will try to exile your lands.Teferi's Protection and Terra Eternal are great for protecting your lands.Pir's Whim is great for everything. Just pick yourself as the only Friend.Insidious Dreams and Animist's Awakening is quite the combination, often winning on the spot if you have an amulet of vigor in play.
If you're unconcerned with legality, Gitaxian Probe is a helluva drug.
I feel like if you have time twisters you should sell them and put that money into savings. Also, burn is incredibly mana efficient, three mana is too much to spend on a card in a deck that wants to cast every 1 drop known to man. Light up the stage has been seeing a lot of play in burn, 1 mana divination is what the deck really wanted. If you really want to play a casual deck for funsies, play treasure cruise and fetches.
I would consider adding 4x of Karn, the Great Creator and Ugin the Ineffable, then you can move most of your artifact package to the sideboard and play sweepers and have more card draw.
May I introduce you to the combo of Archangel of Thune, Horizon Chimera and Fathom Mage?
Honestly, I would just drop the Wall of Lost Thoughts and Patient Rebuilding for 3 more Archway Angels and 2 Expansion//Explosion. The main part of your milling is going to come from Guild Summit and Psychic Corrosion.I would also consider just dropping Fountain of Renewal for 2 more Growth Spiral and 1 more board wipe, Settle or Nova. I'd also try to find room for 2 more Circuitous Route, card is great.Just my 2 cents. My meta is too full of Assassin's Trophy for me to actually try this build.
Recruiter of the Guard can also find Parasitic Strix and Cavern Harpy.
It was a standard deck for a while. Turn 2 Kalonian Hydra was a thing that happened way more often than it should have.
May I introduce you to the Burning Tree Emissary/Nykthos combo?Play 4x of a 1 drop ramp creature like elvish mystic or llanowar elves.T1; forest, mysticT2; 1-2 burning tree emissary, play a nykthos, make 5 mana and cast something beefy.T3; Profit.
May I introduce you to the soft lock of Lunar Force and Starfield of Nyx.
May I introduce you to Story Circle? Frees up some slots for things like Runed Halo and Rest in Peace. Also Luminarch Ascension is a better win con, but if your goal is to troll your way to victory, then Sacred Mesa or Helix Pinnacle.
