remand/manaleak are the best you get in modern.
Well besides cryptic, but thato nly fits in certain decks.

Basically the mindslaver lock is:
1 play mindslaver
2 use mindslaver
3 use ruins to put slaver on top of deck
4 do your opponents turn
5 draw mindslaver/repeat.

It can be, it's just the deck already has win cons through:
Mindslaver lock
normal damage(wurmcoil/emrakul)
Being able to play 7-8 drops is a sure thing, but having 3 blightsteels?
Like maybe 1 sure, but 3 is a bit much.
Imagine having 2 in your opening hand.

Blight steel just seems like a terrible addition...

Well not a big fan of the creature lands enchantments in modern.
May be just better off as snapcaster mages/bobs?

I do like combo in commander, but playing something that isn't combo can be nice sometimes.

If it wasn't budget I would have a few idea's budget limits how good modern decks are.

brainstorm is restricted in vintage though...

Fun fact about frank lepore, I play league of legends with his roomate haha.
I don't know how I feel about sisidri in the list though, I understand trying to keep it on colour.
I really like the silumgar slot though, hexproof is amazing.

Yeah we have 2 major game stores in my city.
they both have great card selections like 20 FoWs and whatever else. Basically any format staple you can name(they even have a black lotus, not alpha, or beta, but still counts haha)
They have like 2 great sales a year.
