Yeah, sorry to bum you out like that...Absolutely. I also think because somehow our brains' labeling of Deathrite as being black and GREEN caused it to be overlooked for Iso-Pox. Aside from the sideboard, Iso-Pox doesn't run green.I am blown away by how useful it is though. Mostly in the mana ramping to be honest...It provides so much wiggle-room. Iso-Pox used to run 25 lands, now it can very comfortably run 20. That means I get a nice and sexy two card slots to work with, which in a tightly packed deck is huge. I used those two slots to run a much more intensive Pox package with a 2/3 big-little split and I am beyond happy with it.

Designed a new Iso-Pox list if anyone is interested =]http://www.mtgvault.com/surewhynot/decks/the-sure-sign/
I thought about Null Rod too, but I REALLY like the idea of E.E. in PAL. It just seems right.I will always blame Joe for Affinity.
Yeah, I think my streak of luck with the Bobs has run out. Now every time I pull them all I keep thinking is "damn I wish I had a Needle" or "Engineered Explosives would open up a world of hurt right now..."
Considering ditching the two Bobs in the SB for a second Needle and E. Explosives for the Affinity MU. Thoughts?
Shardless Agent with Swiftspear (or any prowess card really) looks like a lot of fun. I do worry that this deck can either be explosive, or fall flat on its ass. I see little middle ground, maybe the sideboard addresses that? I also feel like Gut Shot and/or other phy mana goodstuffs would be worthy additions...I honestly can't tell. It's a good looking deck though =]
It really is just perfect for the deck. Once you finally "jam it in" I think you'll love it haha. So you're planning to move eh? Where to?
Yeah I have long decided that Metamorph no longer works for the deck. I've oddly found in trials that I only ever want the one Sultai Charm for the majority of match-ups (as versatile and good as it is, it carries with it a hefty load of mana burden), but for the others, having two is incredible. It's why I bumped some stuff around for it in the sideboard. It wasn't easy, but I think I managed quite well.As for the third Deathrite...I've been doing trials and research all night and I think you might be right. Here I was saying you were the crazy one running 17 lands, but playing on that edge seems to be exactly what is needed. I think of all my decks as having souls, to some extent, and PAL is no exception. In my head, PAL's soul is wild, almost untamable...angry...It only makes sense that its "body" should be so reckless =]By the time you read this post, I'll have done my little edits. I think you'll like them.
Heh, because I forgot all about Mana Confluence =PThanks for the reminder.
Crona is one of the most tragically awesome characters I've seen in a very long time.By the way, it's done =]
By the way, the song I listened to while designing this --https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFqb1I-hiHEEasily in my top 5 favorite songs of all time =]
It's called Stox. It's really, really mean =]
I think my favorite part of this whole thing is the sideboard. It's...disgusting =P
Ah, it's been a while. I'm loving the look of it. The land base seems a liiiiiittle on the edge, but I'd have to see how it plays out in practice...It's one of those things that you can't really tell until you genuinely try the deck out. With the new direction PAL has taken lately, I need to keep reminding myself about Ghost Quarter. It's such an easy land to just forget about, but in a deck like this it makes Strip Mine seem as gentle as a kitten being held by a baby...surrounded by puppies. It's like LED in dredge. At first glance you think "this should be bad, why isn't this bad?", then it becomes "OH GOD WHY ISN'T THIS BAD?!"It makes me kind of sad to admit that Goyf is no longer the front runner/go-to beefcake for PAL, but it's easy to see that TNN is better than it in almost every scenario. The pairing of TNN and Deathrite is something I have yet to do in any of my PAL designs and I have no idea why. It's the most logical next step, and they compliment each other so well.Your sideboard is very interesting. It's quite different from the one I tend to run now, but I can't say it's better or worse. It simply isn't...It's just different, and I find that really cool. The one thing I would change is to put Tabernacle directly into the main deck in place of one of the four Wastelands, but that could tip the balance of the already aggressive land base.I love this, and can't tell you how refreshing it is to see, especially with how boring I've been finding the Khans timeline to be. I'll have to hit the workshop and see what I can put together soon. This got my mind flowing =]By the way, I freakin love your new profile pic hahaha.
You know I love this, so I'm just gonna say...Dat deck name doe
Well to be honest Ian, Gary, and I have basically been having an ongoing discussion about this kind of thing since I was made a moderator -- what to do with the new accounts that might not understand the "etiquette" of the site. It's a much more complex issue than you might think. For one thing, it's entirely possible that a sticky, for example, wont do anything at all. As of now the best method we've seen this far is how it is now...a sort of hands off approach. Noobs will spam or not comment and then they'll vanish into obscurity. Hope that all makes sense.
I think it's a tie between this and the PyroGush for me, with this one slightly edging out. With the pyromancer one, there will be just a hilarious amount of elemental tokens out accompanied by all sorts of shenanigans, but this one just steps on their throat. They're all three insane, and I think properly show just WHY Gush got the banhammer.
The other day my buddy asked me why Gush is banned in Legacy. So I showed him this deck. His reaction?"Oooooh...wait...wha-thats...not fair"
Took out Sol Ring for Dark Deal. Always happy to see useful new additions =]
Nah, as I understand it that's how you play Rakdos. Lots of pain, lots more gain =]
