ANON, it's good to see you're still around on here. Just got back on myself. I think a great card for endless whispers is Phage. Check it out:

We would all be better serving Casola if we talked about how to IMPROVE the deck.

ie, if you get some mana accel and dual lands this deck will be a TON faster and more efficient. Try to make the combo possible turn 3 or 4. BOP is a GREAT way to increase deck speed.

No, cuz when you sac the redcap and it persists, it doesn't keep the tokens it had before the sac since it technically dies and comes back due to the phrase "return it to play" implying that it left play, and when things leave play and return they remove EVERYTHING unless otherwise specified, in the case of persist it gains a -1/-1 token when it comes back into play, so it comes into play as a 2/2 with a -1/-1 counter, counting it as a 1/1 and THEN it gets 2 +1/+1 tokens making it a 3/3 with no -1/-1 counters.

Can we all just agree that this combo works.

Lets not try to figure out how it doesn't because i'm sure if you ask a judge they will say that it works and then go into the long explanation about WHY it works that everyone has been saying on here.

Of course, I didn't mean you should go spend $500 on a deck, I just mean if you could get a few of those cards, no matter how you do it, or even how many you get, example: 1 Rafiq is better than none. same goes for the others. I know they're expensive, my venue is pretty competitive so we spend a lot to keep up with one another sometimes.

Honestly, I wouldn't have wanted to purchase the whole thing. I got most of the cards in packs and trades. My guess would be about $450 to $500 depending on where you bought everything. Like I said, I accumulated this deck mostly through trades and buying booster boxes. It can be tweaked to make it less costly but it will lose some of its power.

Another fun trick with Haakon, is if you include Basal Sliver and Skeletal Changeling along with something with storm or gravestorm, such as tendrils or bitter ordeal.

Oh yeah, if you want to be flashy, Finest Hour with the warmonk thig and on turn 4 you get a 6/7 doublestrike likelinker with 2 attack phases. Have fun!

If you can, get your hands on Rafiq, preferably 4 of them. And Noble Heirarch, and 2 more war monks that way you can attack turn 3 with a 5/6 lifelink doublestriker. Also see about cryptic command, shorecrasher mimic, kitchen finks, meddling mage, and lose the panoramas for dual lands and 2 more ziggurats. Bant is incredibly strong if you have the right tools. This looks like a good start though.

and yes, to deal with white you do have naturalize, but you only have 2, and in white control, by the time you play it, it'll be turn 3 or 4 if you're lucky and by that time you'll be under constant WOG or they''ll be running through you so the pipers or the game won't last long. (maybe put 2 more naturalizes in the sideboard)

Against a white Deck: Turn 2, Runed Halo, you can no longer play piper, what do you do?
you try to play wurm with natural order, but WOG.

Against blue: need I say it? *cough* counterspell *cough* Maybe Keep Vexing shusher in the sideboard to deal with blue decks

Other than that it looks pretty good, against black and red make sure to drop the privileged position before the piper which will make it slower, but not nearly as slow as it would be without the pipers living a single turn.

Just for the record, the second one takes A LOT LONGER and therefore I suggest going with Twilight's Call since you don't have to pay for most of them to come into play, still AEther Vial is a great card for this deck, so is Soul Foundry.

Just remembered the funniest thing ever for this deck. Iname, Death aspect to get all zubera cards in your graveyard, Twilight's Call, sac them all to something that doesn't limit you by turns (aka, the soulgorger isn't the best option for this, The Greater Gargadon is probably better, that or spawning pit) OR you can iname Death aspect, AEther Vial (with 2 counters), Empty the catacombs and sac.

BEST CARD EVER FOR ERYO: Shrieking Drake. It's 1 mana, comes into play return target creature you control to its owner's hang, return the drake, play again, 4 mana, 1 card, eryo flips.

Due to the counterspell this deck isn't standard legal and since this is a fun theoretical thing, how about we switch out your lands for better ones? Change the vivids to sac lands and the other to dual lands, preferably shock lands or the old school alpha beta dual lands? They would raise the cost of the deck up INCREDIBLY but they would be much more efficient.

One last thing, Deck size... 75 CARDS!! WOW. You may want to cut that down. In my opinion and there are a lot of people out there who will agree with me, a deck should be 65 cards MAX. I know it is hard to cut down, but you do have a sideboard of 15 cards in your availability.

Why only 2 Demigod's? That isn't a card where you just say... Oh! I have 2 slots left, I think I'll put in Demigods. It's 4 or none. And sorry, but I agree is Casola. I ran a deck similar to this once just to see how wither played out and made the mistake of putting out 2 blowflies at once, it essentially became a wog and pretty soon my opponent was using it against me, being able to pop any of my creatures with some interesting control methods. Also Quillspike's basic problem is the mana. Where are you going to get this 10 black land? It certainly won't be turn 10 (or later) when your blowflies go out. Plus everyone knows the real fun with quillspike comes with devoted druid. (check that combo out, I bet you'll like it if you haven't seen it)
