Thanks dude! High Praise!
It was new to me too :)Originally i was aiming for a devotion-based deck, but Master of waves is MR, so out for aristocrat...Invoke Prejudice is (I think) the only 4 blue spell in all of mtg.Isochron Scepter is such a cheese card. I don't use it in local meta as it tends to be unfun.I do think this deck would be fun to play though. Lots of card draw is always rewarding
Here's a mono-blue Aristocrat deck for your viewing enjoyment ;)http://www.mtgvault.com/shinza/decks/aristocrat-blue-in-the-face/
All comments welcome!
Azorius it is!
Good deal! I should make a white Aristocrat deck! Hmm... Boros has been done...Thanks again for helping me fine tune. I think we have done a good job with this one. Mana is a bit tricky though.
or hymn to tourach...
First, let me say thank you for the in-depth analysis! Man, that is rewarding and helpful! So, I bestow Rep +1 to you.Ok, to business... I checked out the cypher options. A couple appealed to me as low cost alternatives. Because this is Aristocrat format, the deck can only utilize commons in the Induce Paranoia slotsHere is what I found in no particular order:Paranoid Delusions: Blue, Black (2). Decking opponent is not the goal, though this would preserve the combo with Wight of Precinct 6. Its cheaper too, and mana friendly (no two blue).Last Thoughts: 3Colorless, Blue (4). Essentially a cantrip for 4 mana, which will then duplicate what the Mask of Riddles does. So nothing new, but drawing cards is like Christmas, and who doesn't want more of that? 1 Blue instead of 2 is easier on the manabase too. No discard/decking with that, so Wight goes hungry a little though deathtouch is still a reliable source of protein for the dumpster-diving Wight of Precinct 6.Hidden Strings: 1Colorless, Blue (2). Good for the manacurve. Subtle, yet with variety of options. Tapping opponents stuff is quite a bit less useful since it triggers AFTER combat. I've already had combat and its regrettable that it triggers on my turn, rather than say, during his upkeep. It would be useful for untapping my lands, especially Dimir Aqueducts....hmm...Hands of Binding: 1Colorless, Blue (2).Also good for mana-curve. In an arms race, this ties one behind opponent's back, though I wonder if its worth it. I can't be doing too badly if I'm hitting opponent. Still, its cheap, and also messes with creature tap effects.Shadow Slice: 4Colorless, Black (5). Bad on manacurve. +3 damage is good, but not loving 5 mana.Midnight Recovery: 3Colorless, Black (4). Duplicates what I'm doing already, recursion-wise. Do I need more? It is an easier to cast 4 mana than Induce Paranoia, but the net gain seems trivial. So my faves for this are: Hidden Strings and Paranoid Delusions. What do you think?Or either Distress or Duress? Similar names...similar effects. Distress includes creatures as option for discard at the cost of a 2nd black mana. Is it worth it? Mayhaps.3 slots with what to fill them?I chose Distress for now, since it could potentially feed the Wight. The option is still open though. Thanks again for your insight! Please weigh in with any thoughts! And send a link for a deck so I can return the favor.
rep +1 for insight (and compliment doesnt hurt either)

Feedback welcome! No deck is without room for insight.as a $6, I like the result of this one.
Thank you for the feedback! For $6, this deck seems competitive to me. Deathtouch rules! That and Wither are fantastic! Thanks again Anubis! Rep +1
Good Deck! Recursion is so much fun! No matter what dies, you always know it can come back! How about Sanguine Praetor? With your recursion, you could have a field day nuking opponent creatures.Like +1Btw, I finally finished the $6 budget deck for black. Don't know if I ever told you about it.Since you helped inspire the effort, here it is:http://www.mtgvault.com/shinza/decks/budget-6-death-is-a-salesman/Thanks again. It was fun.
