wood elemental works really well with knight of the reliquary.

you are kidding right? 1/1 flying for 1 mana? how is that bad? sure, it isn't great, but not bad. not on the level of cards like chimney imp and ember shot.

um... hmm. maybe vault scourge? or some of your more costly artifact creatures.

how so? the imp, yeah not a good card, The Hive... I can think of ways to abuse it... really easily actually. Phyrexian tribute gives black something that it almost never has, and with persist or undying there really isn't much of a downside. Archangel's light is very expensive, but in the right deck can be a game changing card. so...

i think that the highway could be great. build a deck around it, and it is very powerful. white blue, with land manipulation cards, like convincing mirage and cards like that. could make short work of your opponent to take away a useful land, and make your creatures unblockable.

Ok, I have never played EDH, so I wouldn't have known that. My bad.

well, Lost in the Mist is pretty bad. Rod of Ruin also sucks, scrambleverse, or steamflogger boss. those are a few that could be up there for crappy cards.

The shard is good, but it can only bring back one thing at a time, and only an art creature at that. It can't bring your marks back or your other shards back, or your scourglasses back. The frantic salvage allows you to bring any number of artifact cards back, and they don't have to be creatures. Remember the fallen lets you put 2 cards right into your hand, and they can both be creatures. Or one doesn't have to be. I can't recall how many games I have lost to a good usage of those 2 cards.

As for counter spells... not really any that I can think of without spending an arm and a leg for. mana leak is pretty popular, but not a sure thing. But it is more flexible for mama at 1U instead of UU. I personally don't care for it, but that is your call. Also, if you just want to protect your permanents you could use turn aside. Counter target spell that targets a permanent that you control, for U. Just a thought.

I don't have it posted, and I don't have the deck with me. Otherwise I would be happy to. But to give you something of an idea, I run the same splicers that you do, just incorporated into a five color deck. It puts out an insane amount of golems. And because the monstrosity is also a golem it gets the splicer bonuses as well. I also run a few pilgrim's eyes, for land searching. But there are more efficient ways to do that. The only red that I really have is a card that makes it so only artifact creatures can block this turn. Very good against most decks.

I actually have a deck similar to this. I run xenograft in it to make the splicers less vulnerable, and etched monstrosity. But mine is 5 colors, and it wouldn't work here. But some counter spell cards would be good, for protection.

Semi-random thought. How is gemhide a common and not a rare?

I really lie this deck. which isn't something I say alot about mono color decks. (personal preference.) But, I really like the concept, and the only suggestion that I have is maybe blood artist.

Which dual lands would be good? I know that they are not all created equal. But, I don't want to shell out enough for ravnica lands.

Only problem is that it costs 1 more to cast, and is a sorcery. Good card though.

wow. demon of death's gate is amazing. you could technically get it out on turn one if things go correctly. memnite of ornithopter wouldn't really hurt him either. wow...
also, maybe living death would work well with the death pit offering.

very nice deck. +1
