Explain it, please.

That deck is a list of a lot of very nice cards, indeed. It is crap that 135 dollars is considered budget...but with Legacy/Vintage...135 dollars truly is budget.I like it. Only card I am iffy on is Char. Why not Browbeat? Same mana cost, right? Your opponent takes 5 damage (one more than Char) or you get to draw 3 cards. Since everything is so cheap in your deck, mana wise, 3 more cards would keep your hand full (along with Howling Mine, of course) and provide you 3 cheap spells your next turn. Since your deck has such a low mana curve...being able to draw 3 cards at one time is a huge advantage to you, speed wise. Anyways, good job.Oh yeah, I am forever slack with my Sideboard. Yours sir, is very well thought out. Nicely done.
Have you got this deck? If so, which decks beat you? Or, what would you like to improve?
Dumb question, what powers the mana to pay for Naked Singularity?
Nice way to use Putrid Imp. Good job.
Explain this one, please?
No, I would not because I do not like tokens, but I can suggest ideas to help this deck. lol. Joking aside. I bet you play against a lot of blue and black decks, right? If you do not play against mostly blue/black decks, might I suggest running Witchstalker in your Sideboard? You add in Mwonvuli Beast Tracker. This card is a beast in this deck. Trust me. First, it is going to get you an extra creature card on top of your deck, when you play it. That rocks, right? Second, it is going to get you any hex creature that you need, on top of your deck. If you need help against blue/black decks, then search for your Witchstalker. If you need power, search for your Drove of Elves. Card you are missing, Sylvan Caryatid. It is another brutal card for this deck. First off, you have no hexproof card in your deck that cost only 2 mana. (Silhana Ledgewalker is another 2 mana hex creature). Sylvan is a mana booster. I freaking love mana ramp. Green was made for it. He is going to give you 1 extra forest every turn. That rocks. It is a huge advantage against your opponent. I would take out Snake Umbra for it. I would take out Blanchwood Armor and add in something more quick and versatile like Giant Growth. It gives you the element of surprise. They attack with a 3/3 creature, knowing you only have 1 1/1 creature to block. They think they have the edge, then you throw down Giant Growth, and all of a sudden your 1/1 creature is now a 4/4 and it kills their 3/3 creature. It makes them stop and think about what you have in your hand and if they should attack or not. Overrun. This card, my friend, is a game changer. It is considered one of the highest ranking Green cards in Magic, and for a reason. ALL OF YOUR CREATURES get +3/+3 and Trample! It is extremely superior to any card you have in your sideboard, and probably better than Overwhelming Stampede too (maybe not for your deck though). Tough call there. Finally, to speed the deck up (along with Sylvan Caryatid and Mwonvuli Beast Tracker) I would take out both Sacred Wolf and Thrun, the Last Troll. They are 3 and 4 mana. I would add in Silhana Ledgewalker. She is 2 mana. True, she is a 1/1, and that sucks...but what makes her so nice is that she is going to help build up Drove of Elves. Plus she is a quick fast creature that helps give you more fire power when you cast Overwhelming Stampede. Not sure if my suggestions make this a stronger deck...but I do feel it would be a much faster deck. It would be dropping lots of low cost creatures along with Rancor and Spider Umbra. Using Caryatid for mana ramp to help push out cheap Rancor/Spider Umbra even faster to build up Drove of Elves. Then would cast a Stampede or Overrun. Okay. Okay. Done. Good luck with your deckPlease feel free to check out any of my decks and completely trash some of my decks. lol. Thought I would add links to all the Hexproof Creatures in Magic. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?page=0&action=advanced&type=+[%22Creature%22]&text=+[hexproof]http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?page=1&action=advanced&type=+[%22Creature%22]&text=+[hexproof]
Thanks KJSJ3 and Kazzong, for the advice.
Thanks for the advice. I added Melira and Dismember to the Sideboard. This is a dumb question, but I would only need to add Melira in my deck if my opponent was playing Infect. Right? Or could he steal (via blue treachery/bribery/control magic) my creatures too?And I think I understand Poliferate/Grim Affliction. Let me try.Example. I attack with a blocked Blight Mamba. He does -1/-1 to a 3/3 creature my opponent controls. I then cast Grim Affliction on that creature my opponent controls. It does another -1/-1 to the creature. He is now at 1/1. Now I Poliferate, and now what, I have two more -1/-1 counters to be able to put on the creature? Is that how it works? Or do I get to put one more -1/-1 counter on him?Further more, with the above example, if my opponent has 2 more creatures that have -1/-1 counters on them. When i casted Grim Affliction on the original creature, I can choose to poliferate and put -1/-1 counters on the other 2 creatures, too, right?
What is "Poliferate?" Is that like it is copied?
Vintage and legacy. Thanks for any help!
I one upped your comment. Thanks for the helpful response, Kazzong!! Could you go look at my infect deck? I just checked out NorthernWarlord's Budget Decks: Fast Infect deck, and his is way better. But please check mine out, and see where I need help. Thanks!http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/help-build-an-infect-deck/I will check out your graveyard fun and self destructive behavior....but don't play standard or modern...so, if they are those sort of decks, i will not be able to help much.
So wait...I am a little confused...Poison and Infect is different? I thought they were two words that meant the same thing. Can you explain it more?
Finish this deck. It is close.
Recently got back into Magic...I always wanted to make a Poison Counter deck...but back when i played...there were simply not enough Poison Cards to make a decent deck. I have now discovered there are around 80 or so cards with Poison Counters....hell...they call it Infect now, lol. Anyways, I noticed Warlord, that you have made Infect decks before. I just quickly put one together. Can you look at it, and see what i need to work on. Quick question. I have a 1/1 creature with Infect. I cast a giant growth on him. He becomes a 4/4 creature, with Infect, right? Does that mean if he attacks, and is unblocked, that my opponent receives 4 Poison tokens? If so, that is the theme that I want for that deck. To be mana ramped, suicidal (looking to make it faster at the cost of losing my own mana or life points), and power pumped. Check it out. http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/help-build-an-infect-deck/Any help guys, and I will try to return the favor.
Honestly, what I am looking for is more Suicide in the deck. More stuff like Mutagenic Growth. Stuff that hurts me but speeds my deck up. Any advice? I will try to return the favor, with one of your decks. Would Rot Wolf or Phyrexian Vatmother be quicker than Hand of the Praetors?
Need cards and ideas, guys!
Memnite and Ornithopter in a Goblin deck. Neat!
Let me Mtg Search it. :)I could add it. What would you take out? Blitz Hellion? Harvest Wurm? I think Boggart Ram Gang would make my deck more consistent. As my deck is now, it throw all it has out very early, then top decks. Maybe Ram-Gang could help.
Nice Northern Warlord. I always wanted to look into Kobolds, mainly for the zero casting cost of some of them. Add them to Memnite. Shield Sphere. Phyrexian Walker. Ornithopter. Neat stuff. Lightning Bolt was a little pricey, I see. :)Cloudstone is brutal. As always, another solid deck.
