Add in 2 more Probes. Draw power is very important in a deck like this. Consider taking out two of the Illusions.

Good luck.

Agreed with KJSJ3. I would take out one of the weaker of the Illusions, and add in 3 or 4 draw cards.

Hell, if you want to keep your theme and not lose a creature, consider Fathom Seer. Sacking two lands is a lot of sacrifice...but the Illusions already cost so little mana, so it is an option.

Telling Time is a decent Modern draw card. Think Twice is decent. Those two cards are both budget draw cards.

Something like Serum Visions and Gitaxian Probe would work too...but are expensive.

Good luck.

That's why it is only a fun deck. For one dollar, you shouldn't expect much. And for a one dollar deck to win 75 percent of the games it is played in, that is simple genius! Imagine your opponent's face when you beat his 300 dollar deck, and then tell him how much your deck cost! lol. That is worth me liking this deck.

Good luck!

Thanks!!! I am really proud of it! A lot of time, thought, and effort went into it! Tried to work on everything.
Speed...for it to be fast and to have mana advantage over my opponent via bouncing their lands and me using mana ramp.
Versatile...for it to have a 2nd way to win...a Enchanted Cryptoplasm.
Consistent...where I wouldn't have too many wasted turns/draws/cards.
Dependable...where I could get out my Constable in most games by using search Engines and draw spells.
Disruptive...in which I could try to bounce combo cards and major threats.

It is 4-0, right now. The 2nd and 3rd games I played against a friend (an excellent player), I had an Enchanted Constable and Cryptoplasm both attack on turn 5 and 6. Every card he had in play was returned to his hand on turn 6. Total board swipe, and with me still having my lands and Constable/Cryptoplasm in play. He couldn't do anything. Total board lock down.

And 17 dollars!! Here is to you and your budget decks, NorthernWarlord!
Now if it will only become a Hot Deck. :D

I rarely do this...mostly because I feel like a tool. But going to do so for 3 reasons; 1st, I admire your skills as a deck builder and want your opinion. 2nd, I really love the deck and want people to offer advice and support. 3rd, It is a budget deck...can you look at this deck?

It is, perhaps the best deck I have made. It is bounce, like this deck.
Any help would rock.
I have never had a Hot deck...and I feel the deck is deserving.
Thanks, in advance, for any help given.

Keep up the good work.

I added Drift of Phantasms as an instant search engine for Constable Cephalid!

If not, Invigorate is one of the best pump spells in Magic for a Infect deck. Basically let them gain 3 life and the spell is free.

Good luck.

Urza's Incubator and Shaman would be brutal together. Most dragons would cost 1 or 2 mana, at most, if you had those cards out.

Browbeat for drawing. Or Howling Mine, maybe.

Good luck.

Take out the dragon. It is lame. Add in 2 more Fireblast. It will speed your deck up.

Good luck.

Deck is currently 4-0.
I think it is one of the best I have built.
The key is getting out Constable by turn 3 or 4. Impulse helps with that.
Usually by 2 or 3 turns after I have Constable out, especially if I have him Enchanted (or have Constable copies via Cryptoplasm), he has cleared the opponent's board.
Also, very important, I have found, is to bounce their lands on turn 2 and 3 (but play Constable on turn 3 if you have one). Bouncing their lands early via Boomerang, Eye of Nowhere, and Capsize is a huge advantage when Constable starts to attack.
Thanks for everyone's input.
Card I am still iffy with, and was a wasted card in the 4 games I played, was Propaganda. What should I add in, to replace it? More draw power? More creature enchantments? 4 Counterspells? Mutagenic Growth? Gitixian Probe?
Again, thanks everyone!

And Rot Wolf...it is not a good infect creature...i mean, there are a lot better ones. I would take him out and add in another Aqueous Form.

Good luck.

Thanks. I played it today. Got my butt kicked, though. The combo doesn't seem to work because of the Cumulative Upkeep I have to pay. I do not have the mana to pay 2 colorless for Illusions of Grandeur upkeep AND PLAY 3 mana for Donate. I am doing something wrong.

I went 3-0 with my Budget: Cephalid Constable deck. And 2-1 with my Burnt Out deck.

Cool. I can understand that. What about Groundswell? It gives +4/+4 and Giant Growth only gives +3/+3. I think it is Modern, right?

Groundswell and Invigorate are also amazing. I think better than Giant Growth.
