I admire you...with having to drive so far to play anyone (about 30 miles), with a limited income (kids)...the 5 or 6 times a year I get to play...I have to bring my A game.

I see your point, though. Boredom of same cards, same decks, same ideas. And it helps to expand your mind and ideas. You are lucky.

Geez, at the cards! Let me look them over. But yeah, the Molder Slug has to go.

Oh. Yeah, those decks are fun to play with....but awful to play against, lol.

True story...you are dead right about looking at decks and seeing a lot of cards with only 1 card.

For me...i was hammered with, "if it is good enough to put in a 60 card deck, then it is good enough to run 3 or 4 copies."

Hell, just recently have i allowed myself to have just 2 cards of a single card.

And you are right...i see a lot of one ofs...then i see a small book worth of material written by the producer of the deck...and i think, "this guy has got his stuff down pat, no reason in me trying to read all of this and to make suggestions, because he probably has already considered the cards i am going to suggest anyways."

And thus...half ass decks get 20 likes and good decks get passed over.

You know...you do me a service (and a few other people on here) by listing drawn out details of your deck. I have a theory...that goes like this, most top/hot decks have very, very basic descriptions. Also the top/hot decks, most of them, you can easily make recommendations to.

With your decks, and mine...when we write out 2 books worth of information...people are scared to recommend changes, scared to mess up your combos, your synergy. They assume that you really know your stuff, and are very "smart" for writing so much. So they just skip your decks over.

I think they think this, "This guy has really taking a lot of time with this deck...let me not rock the boat."

And thus...you, for example, have a lot of kick ass decks with 0 or 1 likes. And at the same time..a lot of half ass decks like 15 or more likes.

Regardless, I very much, enjoy your deck descriptions.

Let me get back with you about cards that may work.

Two red/green cards I recommend, for most red/green decks are manamorphose (it could secure that mana base, and it lets you draw a card, not too shabby). And Hull Breach. I got where I try to add, in the main deck itself (and not the sideboard), artifact/destruction hate. So I would add Hull Breach, but i see where you have it covered in the sideboard.

Lightning Greaves for the shroud. Regrowth, maybe, to return your Alpha Strike.

Will have to look at it better, later.

Check out a few that I just made...the Artifact Coating is your type of tricky deck. So is the Mirror Entity deck.
Tried to go back to a more pure deck/design with the haste deck, trample deck, and discard deck. lol

That is super creature heavy! Those seem to be my kinds of decks. I liked it.

Is that a Standard deck, Sorin? Ugh...and I thought Modern was nauseating! Standard? Gag!! Lol. Joking aside, I one upped it.

Crusaders are very mana specific, I will give you that. And you can get mana screwed very easily. But i was trying for more then just an all or nothing attack Didn't want someone to cast fog or counterspell...or something. So i made it much more slow with Crusader.

And discard link is not working. But it is okay...you know mine is a masterpiece, and can not be beat. Quite understandable. :)

Here is his chance for "revenge." He can completely trash talk and destroy the design of my deck.

This is my new discard deck...brutal to the very end.

Idea is to force both you and your opponent to discard. Then hide behind Ensnaring Bridge. Use Nihil Stone for the win condition. Followed up by Guiltfeeder. He can attack, but other creatures can not attack, because of the Ensnaring Bridge. Goal is to have opponent top decking, and taking damage via Nihil Stone by Turn 4.

Great suggestions. But trying to make it a more slow, consistent deck with Crusaders. And Invigorate is probably the best card ever for Infect. Because it is 3 free infect points!

Okay, guy, what are you looking for?
Vintage and Legacy discard?
Pure control? Pure discard?
Will tell you this...stuff like Recoil/Washout/Urza's Guilt does not work.
And this is where I will get at least 3 people disagree with me, Rack. Megrim. Liliana's Caress. Painful Quandary does not work.
They are way too slow!!
So is a lot of control cards. You need just one or two, maybe.
Same thing with creatures, only one or two is needed.
And your mana curve, you need only 3-6 cards that cost 4 or 6 mana. Most of your cards should be 1st turn and 2nd turn discard cards.

They are uber witty names. I have mad game!

I am not the guy who plays Modern. I can't help out much there.

I can give you advice. What helps out on this site...is go to other people's decks, like them, and suggest cards that might help them.

Then ask people to come look at this deck and give advice.

I know if you take out Counterspell and Preordain, then it is Modern. Not sure what to add in, tough. Probably creatures.

Nice. Expensive and broken cards :) Who doesn't love stuff like BItterblossom and Spellstutter.
