I tend to agree with everyone else... Black sun with either kill every creature you have out, or cut your attack power in half. Grasp of Darkness would be better suited.

Also, Sign in Blood can help you keep dropping creatures at a good pace.

Vector Asp is an underrated card, but only in the right deck. It can work well enough if you get it in your opening hand for a quick counter on turn two, but you'd be better off using virulent wound... It's chump removal and a counter at instant speed instead of one counter per turn (if they can't block) for 1 black.

Haha, yeah it does. But do whatever you want bud! It's your deck, I'm just offering my two cents. If it plays better your way, then by all means don't change it :-)

Thanks for the advice, but this is mono-green. Adding blue would just go against the whole point.

Part of the reason the Elves are so powerful is that they can mana ramp like crazy and still gain enough creatures to mount an attack. So, exploit that! Get some more mana ramping elves to get out large amounts of mana fast. Making non-infect creatures have infect is tricky because you gotta have the mana to not only play the creatures, but also to play the spells that'll give them infect too. Use the extra mana to give you that speedy edge. Maybe integrate more artifacts and then throw in Ezuri's Brigade (If you put an Exoskeleton onto him... 10/10 infect with trample?? For 8 mana, that's not bad... 8/8 infect trample for 6 if you give him Phyresis instead of the Exoskeleton).

It looks like you're trying to keep things standard, so that limits you a bit.

If you wanna get away from standard, Elvish Harbinger let's you search for an elf and add any color mana to your pool. Elves of Deep Shadow can give you some black. And you can't go wrong with a good ol' fashioned Coat of Arms in an elf deck.

BTW, there's a mono-red infect deck on the front page that has ZERO red infect creatures on it... you should go correct him too.

Well, let's see... it's win condition is INFECT... so, it's an "infect" deck.

AND it's ONLY color is WHITE (which makes up over 25% of the deck)... So, it's a "white" deck.

So, yes, it's a WHITE INFECT deck.

You gonna go tell surewhynot that his Artifact based Stompy deck doesn't count because his artifacts aren't green?

Try to be constructive dude. This site isn't built for people to trash other people. It's built to help people build better decks and share their ideas.

If you don't have anything constructive or helpful to say, then STFU.

And I'm having trouble fine tuning the idea for my deck... Little help?

Thanks bud! And again, I love the deck!

I didn't realize you had posted this already! Haha! I love it! Dude, the Devoted Quillspike combo is nice...

Got a little element of control in here as well I see... I like it! Funny thing is half this deck looks like a deck I posted a while back when I ordered a few Kulrath Knights.

http://www.mtgvault.com/EditDeck.aspx?DeckID=130957&DeckCardID=3361462 (if you wanna take a look)

Every suggestion I would make is already in the deck... Sorry I'm not much help here... Maybe Necropede since it's kinda like an advanced version of Fume Spitter?

Tatterkite/Melira's Keepers could be useful as well, especially if you squeezed in Everlasting Torment?

Actually, the Seats don't help with Golem Foundry. It's not a spell and Golem Foundry only triggers with spells.

And with Inexorable Tide in play, you gotta have Shrieking Drake... Proliferate for 1 blue as many times as I have a land to tap? Hard to beat that...

Power Conduit helps facilitate getting counters onto the things you want to proliferate, and it slows down infect decks a lot... Just lift a -1/-1 and set it back down as a +1/+1. Or better yet, as a charge counter on Lux Cannon and destroy the creature that attacked you to begin with.

And Surrakar Spellblade can make for some very nice card draw with all those counters...

Now this is the surewhynot I've been missing! Dude, well done! I didn't realize how cool exalted was until I saw this deck (mostly because I didn't realize exalted stacked...).

Perhaps as a real sideboard, Voidslime to combat some control and burn decks?
Crystallization instead of Path to Exile?

I'm unfamiliar with Bant, so I may not be much help...

Love the deck bud!

Cauldron of Souls will double that Gravestorm too... Is it mono-black?

Because green/black... Cauldron of Souls, Flourishing Defenses, Doubling Season... That would hurt.

Dude, what're you talking about? Absolutely need the late game card draw? The whole point of this deck is drawing extra cards. By late game I should have drawn so many cards I'd be worried about decking myself... The Words are actually in there to PREVENT that from happening.

As for the Whispersilks... I like that idea. I may need to pull some other cards out for them as well.

Painful Quandary is a GREAT late game drop, especially if they only have one card in hand. I'll swap it in for the Dire Undercurrents and pull out a few other cards to swap in the Whispersilks so I can facilitate some card draw.

Thanks for the tips dude!

Extraction using BSZ... Interesting.

I built my girlfriend a monoblack deck that focusing on -1/-1 counters/infect (Clasps, Engines, Fume Spitters, Ichorclaws, Necropedes, Virulent Wounds, etc) out of some spares I had. I thought it would be just OK... then it destroyed me 6 straight games in a row against some of my stronger decks.

I'm looking forward to seeing what your deck will bring to the table, and I may steal some ideas :-)

Good call on Liliana's Caress... Late game plan is to just LOAD the board... I should have a ton of cards in hand and should be playing land every turn at least. Since everything pretty much costs 3 mana, I should be able to put out a lot of little creatures/small discard spells/etc and hopefully outweigh them just by pure card advantage.

Think of it kinda like a fat kid sitting on top of a skinny while eating... That person underneath is getting squashed... Slowly, yes, but still squashed and they have little chance of gaining an upper hand since they are so weak.

I checked out your decks... I like a few of the cards, but I can't figure out what to swap in or out. I like the Quests, and the Rack is pretty rad. But what do I take out?

Hello Mr. Whynot! It's been a while since I've taken notice of some of your decks... I dunno if it's me not looking or what. But I thought I'd check up on your latest and see what you've been up to.

I like it... Is there a type of deck building that you've been doing (subdued)? Or is it just called "not the best deck I can do, but it's still fun?" :-)

Being a newer player I've got limited cards to choose from and it's hard to justify dropping 20-40 dollars on playsets of the older, more powerful cards. So, seeing decks that are newer, relevant, fun to play with and (relatively) cheap is very refreshing. Well done, dude!

I'm not gonna make any suggestions, since trying to make the deck better is violating the nature of the deck itself.

But I am going to shamelessly promote a deck I've been developing. I think you may like the flavor :-)

You need 60 cards in a deck... most tournaments have a minimum of 60 cards in a deck.

Dude, love the deck idea. I built a black/red one a while ago and I'm in the tweaking process right now.

I like the blue splash in this deck... Have you thought about Niv-mizzet, the firemind?
