Dude, Khalni Gem... return 2 lands to your hand, then tap to add 2 mana of any color to your pool.

Black Lotus ISN'T overly broken?? AND Nissa is? WTF, by what reasoning?
Hmmm... I know it's expensive, but a kicked Rite of Replication on Venerated Teacher... Or any Changling...?
He's a 1 drop white knight... Gets all the bonuses that others get and everything. And he (and Student of Warfare) acts as a mana dump. If I happen to have 2 mana left to use before my untap step (I shouldn't since this is kinda a weenie deck), I can just dump it on him and level him up. Or if I run out of cards in hand (not uncommon to do by turn 6ish), I can focus on making the little guys bigger.
Or.. or or or DIRTCOWL WURM?! Almost forgot about that guy... He may not come out as strong, but his flavor with this deck is so PERFECT. This is a long shot, but you could swap out the Fyndhorn's for Birds of Paradise and play Charnelhoarde Wurm to get your spells back?
Have you considered Omnath? You'd be able to play him early on (like, turn 3 or 4 if you have plow under in hand and are willing to skip a turn of land bounce), and he'd get big pretty quickly AND act as a mana bank for you. Also, I love that this is mono-green :-) I'm gonna build one with a blue splash for Leyline of Anticipation and Regress... Land removal on their turn? Yes!
Why doesn't it add charge counters to them? It's easy to bolt in response to an equip... But it's easy to bolt in general and your ENTIRE deck is built around this guy. Permanent protection for him would be a wise choice.
I know that, but the Scythe is very mana intensive. It unattaches EVERY TIME you kill a creature with it and costs 4 to reattach.
You only have 8 creatures in this deck that you can use for your win condition (which I'm assuming is landfall pump). If your opponent has any type of removal at all (and everyone and their mother has removal since MBS dropped) your screwed until you can get a creature and keep it down for more than one turn. Try throwing in some other landfall things to keep yourself aggressive... The Hedron Rover and Hedron Scrabbler are handy in a pinch, Zektar Shrine Expedition is great (especially if you swap Brute Force for Assault Strobe, which you should do... Double damage? Yes, please!), and Searing Blaze is like playing 2 Lightning Bolts in 1 card. Also, this is not a "stompy" deck. Not even close. This is MAYBE aggro if you throw more creatures in, but right now it's a combo deck.
I love Blowfly Infestation... But sadly it isn't Standard legal :-( Thanks for the tips though!
Whispersilk Cloak for the Spellblades? Then you'll never miss and it gives them a little protection.
I do like the suggestion for Spikeshot Goblin, but you'd need some additional enchantments or equipment... Claws of Valakut, Gorgon Flail, etc. Check out Thornbite Staff... It'll turn any pinger into Goblin Sharpshooter. As a bonus, it'll auto-equip to any shaman. And speaking of shaman... Cinder Pyromancer should be taking Prodigal Pyromancer's spot. He cost's the same, but he'll untap every time you cast a red spell. And finally... Diminish is good both offensively and defensively. You may want to consider some other means of protecting yourself... Wall of Tanglecord, or Wall of Frost, or just good ol' fashioned Sleep.
Don't listen to this guy... Goblin Sharpshooter is an AMAZING card. He will boardwipe a swarm deck. If you throw deathtouch on him, he'll boardwipe almost everything. If you have other pingers out to carry some of the load, he's an unstoppable monster.
Where is the turn 1 win? I like this... But your curve is shaky. Try pulling out a few of your bigger creatures (-1 Avenger of Zendikar, -2 Baloth Woodcrasher , -1 Rampaging Baloths)and putting in some additional same turn mana ramp... Oracle of Mul Daya, Lotus Cobra, etc. Honestly, I don't think you'll be really needing the Groundswell that much. You should have enough land to play big enough creatures by turn 3 or 4 that the 1 mana it costs to cast Groundswell, and the 1 turn effect you get, would be better spent on other, more permanent cards. I just threw a land based deck together too (not landfall). Come take a look! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=159540
Totally forgot about Harrow! Thanks dude! Swapped one Cultivate and one Rampant Growth for 2 of them.
You shouldn't be equipping the Arbalest until you need to use it... It's "does not untap" ability still applies. And why bother running Arbalest as a finisher when there are cheaper or stronger ways? Arbalest on Plague Myr.... 3 mana + 2 mana + 4 mana and tap = 2 damage, 9 mana, and your creature is permanently tapped. If they prevent the damage you just wasted 7 mana on making one of your creatures (that probably cost you 2 mana on top of that) useless. Spikeshot Elder with Tainted Strike and his ability... 3 mana + 1 mana + 3 mana = 2 damage, 7 mana, and your creature is now free to attack, possibly dealing another 2 damage for a total of 4... and you can do it again next turn. Add Claws of Valakut to the above mentioned scenario (assuming you have ONLY have the minimum of 2 mountains in play): 3 + 1 + 3 + 3 = 4 damage, 10 mana (only 1 more than the Arbalest), attack for a potential total of 8 damage... 10 damage if you have 3 mountains out. Or instead of the Claws you could use Bull Rush, Goblin War Paint, Thunder Strike, Unholy Strength, Vampire's Bite, or Virulent Swipe... That'd be cheaper.
There ya go bud, thanks for the tips! Cheers :-)
How about Asceticism instead? I'd like to keep it mono-green if I can. Sideboard: Gonna splash white to fight removal.
I like the idea... Been trying to come up with a good infect pinger deck for a while. It's just SLOW and this is no exception... You've got a LOT of mana intensive cards in here. Get rid of Vector Asp... Why bother paying 1 black to give a creature infect every turn when you can just play a necropede/ichorclaw myr/plague myr and have it have infect all the time? Plague Myr has the added bonus of giving you some much needed mana ramp. Same problem with Heavy Arbalest... You play a creature turn 2, Arbalest turn 3, equip turn 4 and tap... Now what have you achieved? 9 mana for 2 damage and a creature that doesn't untap and is now useless. And again, same problem with Brimstone Mage. Play it turn 3, Level up turn 4 and tap... for 1 infect damage. 7 mana for one infect damage... on a creature that can be removed with EVERY type of removal or even a simple Lightning Bolt. Based on how much mana you NEED to make a deck like this work you should add more lands and fetch lands, making Cosi's Ravager is a good idea. Instead of Brimstone Mage consider Prodigal Pyromancer. I REALLY like the Spikeshot/Exoskeleton combo in here... Maybe try something like Claws of Valakut to boost his power even further, or consider putting the Heavy Arbalest on him (since he doesn't need to tap to use his ability)? And drop the Arbalest and add some equipment that gives your pingers deathtouch (basilisk collar)... Tap to destroy target creature? Yes, please! Sorry with all the negativity there in the beginning.. I really like the idea you have here and I wanna see it work. I'm also very impressed that you kept it standard legal. Good work! Keep it up, I hope to see this deck become good :-) If you want, come check out my pinger decks... I've got a few, so just search around and take a look :-)
I'm not a fan of Contested War Zone... As far as Sun Titan goes, I'm trying to keep it Knights only. I do like the idea of Mimic Vat in the deck, but I don't think my creatures have enough "Whenever ___ enter's the battlefield" abilities. Thanks for the tips though! I may implement some of them later on...
