Wistful Thinking Is what I would play if i was playing waste not and going B/U.
The thing about 3CMC cards is that in modern on turn 3 its awkward if that's all you do
You have to stray away from cards that are only good when a certain card is in play.

Do you mean dredge cards? I have a G/B dredge not list:
http://www.mtgvault.com/viagrasaurusrex/decks/dredge-not/
Basically it just wants to abuse raven's crime and resource denial.

There are two huge reasons why i don't like Quest over Affliction of Rack and they are:
1-Quest is a terrible late-mid game top-deck, if they are already at 0-1 cards in hand they will just play the cards they have and try to race you so you will never be able to get counters on it.
2-You don't always get them to 0 cards, most of the time you have them sitting at 1-2 which is why Affliction/the rack is better
That being said I understand why people play the card I just try to stray from situational cards.

What it comes down to is:
The decks low curve allows you to attack the hand early, upping the curve means they have more time to drop a threat.(we don't always have bridge)
I feel the biggest changes that could happen to this deck is if better removal gets printed, we need a way to combat Affinity.

You generally play Birthing pod as a card advantage engine, thats why you have cards like Finks or Resto(not in your list) Persist/undying creatures are very useful.

Yep, generally it goes:
3x =important card you want to see
4x = card you want to see every game

I mean you still have 8x tutors for it:P on top of the 3x copies.

Even if you aren't, drawing living end isn't what you want. sure you can cast it from time to time with suspend.
Most of the time you just cycle creatures until you have an opening to cascade into it.

You don't need 4 copies of living end, 3 works just fine as you have 8 cards that fetch it.

it's not a first, it happens a lot actually.
Most recent sets that were big sets are:
Rise of the eldrazi and Avacyn restored.

Khans is located Shandalar(time travel block)
Don't quote me on them getting reprinted next block, all we know is that Maro hinted he wants to reprint them to make modern more accessible and more archtypes to be more reliable.
If reprinted it would be the Onslaught fetches, and people assume sometime next year meaning khans or the following set.

The block after khans could be about the eldrazi(as 2 of them let zendikar)

Yeah it survives the echo cost the 2nd turn it is out as it counts as a new copy of the card, the old trigger resolves and does nothing.
You still have to pay the echo cost the following turn:P(baring another blink or if you just sac it:P

I know blink re-triggers ETB effects.
Was just making sure, because yeah like you just said your wording made it sound like you meant something else.
All is well good sir.

It'll probably 3 coloured tapped lands like in alara block( at least for the first set)
Fetches are expected to get reprinted the following block but could also see a reprint in the 3rd set of kahns block as the set goes:
1st-Big set
2nd-Little set
3rd-Big set

no that shouldn't work, Echo says: "pay the echo cost the turn after riders comes into play" not "cast"
That means it enters again so you would have to pay it or sac it next turn.

Without birthing pod this combo isn't easy to get going(unless they are oblivious to the combo)

Seems fine to me, and anytime good Sir.

Too many pain lands isn't something you want, the M15 pain lands at least don't have to hurt you once you have a few lands in play, compared to confluence always hurting you.

I would do a colour count in which mana all your lands can produce and use the chart on the side to see which land would be the most optimal to remove, I would do it for you but I am at work right now:P so it would be faster if you did.

Green sun's zenith and chord are also good, birthing pod is also good because you're already running Patriarch's Bidding

kk well, I feel you need a way to interact with some more disruption besides tidehollow.
adding some discard(IoK, Blackmail, Durres even.) Would help you dodge some sweepers etc.
