First of all - whoever rated Thumbs down without posting is a d*ck. Second - decks generally have a theme to their construction that is based on how you would like to win the game. What is your Win Strategy? Do you want to kill the opponent with creatures? You have a lot of creatures here, but they seem to be kind of random and not working together. You also have some nice spells that need a little more focus (removal spells, life gain spells, direct damage spells). You also can typically only have 4 of any one card in your deck, so having 5 Tendrils of Corruption is a no-no. I would suggest trying to pick a theme to go with and then looking at other decks posted on this site to help guide you. Everyone you ask will give you different advice but the final choices will of course be yours. If you see decks constructed that you think are strong and fit a theme you are working on, then go for it and see what happens. Best of luck!

This looks like Life Gain/Control, no?
macandcheese.... cards you listed (like Sengir Vampire) are great (and I have 4 of them) but they are not Standard and thus I can't use them in a FNM deck. Also, Malakir Bloodwitches are a staple of any Vamp deck, so I have to disagree with you on that. Sorry. ipftw100 - I know I don't need guul draz, I would MUCH rather have Hexmages, but I have none, so I am kind of stuck with that. I am confused how you could say to put 4 removal cards (Tendrils) in main but then insist other removals (Hideous End) are side board. I have a side board with more tendrils and other cards that can be used to adapt to my opponent. I WISH I had more Bloodghasts, like you said. Hexmages and Bloodghasts are on my wish list and I haven't been able to find ANY at the stores around me recently. I agree that Vamp's Bite would be good, and I might sideboard that. Thanks guys.
Actually, as I think about it, the Tutors could be used to get Bloodghast into play early, ensuring I have a Vamp to tap, as he is coming back out with landfall....
Okay, I can go with that. 4 Tendrils (total) and 3 Mind Rot. What about Mind Sludge?
You need 60 cards to play...
I dont know how I ended up double posting with someone posting BETWEEN my posts... thats just weird... Anyway... I don't own Nocturnus, and I have seen him become useless too often to want to use him myself. Diabolic Tutors help me get Sorin out when I have the lands. But I do see what you are saying. If I need to I can trade the Tutors for the Marsh Casualties. That's why they are there. So I think I am fairly set as far as that goes. Thanks for the input!
Note: There is only 1 Bloodghast in there because that is all I own. Blades are there to beef up vamps - throw Blades on a vamp, sac another creature to Aristocrate so he gets +2/+2 for turn and the Vamp with the Blades gets permanent +2/+2. Side board tries to account for other aggro decks (Marsh Casualties, Feast of Blood, Deathmark, Tendrils), Control Decks (Mind Sludge, Mind Rot, Duress) or just an all-out last resort to do direct damage to opponent (Consume Spirit).
Yup I have. I am going to see after work if I can get more Lacerators (I only have 1), Nighthawks (to bump to 4) and Bloodghasts. Sideboard will be Deathmarks, Durress, Disfigures/Marsh Casualties, Tendrils, and possibly Mind Shatter (if I can find it) or Mind Rot. Thanks guys, keep the input coming, this is helping!
Thanks aether, I will do that. I am going to make an entirely new sideboard.
Stupid double posts.... sorry about that
delrosariorobi, like I said in the intro paragraph, I only own 1 Bloodghast.
Edit: Added more creatures, including Vampire Aristocrat. With him out and Blades on another Vamp I can sac and boost him till end of turn and boost the other Vamp permanently. Took out Piranha Marsh. Apparently I am the only who likes that card. Spozzio you say I play too few creatures, but never make any suggestions of what to add...? Cobra - I kept blade because being able to use Aristocrat to sac makes Blades more useful. I hear what you are saying about Feast of Blood, but right now I am going to stick with it since it is less casting cost than Tendrils (and I only have 2 Tendrils anyway). If that ends up screwing me over I will be sure to tell ya :-) I know that this is not a typical sideboard, it is more of a desperation ploy. As I said I JUST got back into MTG, so I really don't have many cards. If you guys would like to suggest some blacks to sideboard I can see if I have them. Thanks for the input.
I don't have 4 bloodghasts, hence I am using the only one I have. Nor do I have Nocturnus and I'm not pay $10 for a card like that - it's just not worth it. The Nightmares are in there because of Undead Slayer. I play an opponent who is white/blue who is able to keep Undead slayer out by countering all of my removal spells. Nightmare is my only savior in that case since it can't be exiled. Moreover, when the game is at a stalemate, Nightmare is a game-changer. I don't see how replacing Hideous End with Feast of Blood makes sense either as this is an aggro deck, and therefore I am trying to inflict damage faster.
Win condition?
For a first pass on a deck put together yourself, I gotta say you did a good job. Do you actually own all these cards, or is this a theoretical deck? It could be expensive to get these creatures. Nice job overall.
-3 Weakness -2 Assassinate -2 Consume Spirit -2 Haunting Echos +3 Blood Tribute +4 Malakir Bloodwitch +2 Diabolic Tutor
Edit: I added Pyromancer's Ascension since I already own it.
