Lol, why are elves always hated on for being gay? You see those girls? Bramblewood Paragon and Advocate of the Beast for example.

Who would not feel nervous asking one of them out on a date? James Bond?

Unless you have 2 of them =). And pump your Souleater before using the second one. It's safe to say that if they hit you for 5 or more your combo will be on the table.

Could you weigh in on a hardcore burn deck? You seem to like red.

I say Lavaclaw Reaches is suitable for cutting ... I would only add the Shield Spires or Orthinopters. Adding heavy artifact creatures would require a general overhaul of the deck. Sol ring is good, but methinks you have nothing to ramp into.

You are quite right about chronic flooding, but I was just using it as an example.

Magma jet removes a pesky 2 power creature, then scrys for 2. Oh, and it works with Goblin Electromancer.

Oh, and you have 8 thougtflares.

If you really want to cover your bases, counterflux, remand, or redirect might help.

Putting a creature like blistercoil weird or young pyromancer is a good idea if your combo takes a while to set up. Eventually your opponent will get a creature out by turn 2 or 3 if he's good enough to recognixe that you are a control deck (yes, mill is control and can have serious trouble against well-built aggro decks).

Finally, your mana curve is high with few one drops. Why not add tome scour or mugging?

Thank you. That will replace shivan meteor.

I hate to say it, bit searing blaze is not modern. Too bad ... it's even better than lighting bolt!

Wow, nice deck. I'm at a loss at what to replace the tutor with so you can play in modern. Maybe stoneforge mystic, with one of each of those OP swords (sword of fire and ice, sword of war and peace, etc.).

Then you might want to replace mad prophet with magma jet for the scry or cathedral membrane if you need to stay alive.

Finally, I just want to hug you for giving us the phyrexian mana + children of korlis combo. That card even does double duty gaining you life (like when you get nailed by stuffy doll hit by a shivan meteor) Nice work!

What do you suggest in place of blazing salvo to make this modern legal? I might keep it anyway ... it fits right into this deck.

Holy crap. Minus Shivan Meteor and Blazing Salvo this is legal in standard. Quick, I need replacements!

True, but what can outdo red burn for damage? With it and guttersnipe out, shock does 8 damage for 1 mana and skullcrack 10 for 2 mana.

If I happen to be up against red burn, I choose curse of bloodletting 'cause my poor fire servant is apt to get nailed. Thanks for the reminder.

I think Dictate is a tad better ... it has flash, and doesn't target the player directly.

The question is ... dictate or fire servant. The dictate would apply to my creatures (including satyr firedancer), but the fire servant gives me a creature. Thoughts?

Oh, and the holy trinity of blue/red creatures is young pyromancer, delver of secrets, and snapcaster Mage.

I would drop mill for a stronger emphasis on burn/control. You could combine some mill with your control ... for example, Chronic Flooding.

Well ... for one mana, lighting bolt is the king of damage, and tomb scour the king of mill.

However, to really fill the void, skullcrack is amazing.

Dual casting might give your opponent nightmares, but it is not tertibly effective with so few creatures.

Oh ... yeah, what wad that card that doubled spell damage ... Ordeal of Purphos. Yeah... Imagine that with 2 stuffy dolls and a shivan meteor.
