Ah, but beast within destroys anything, not just creatures. :)

Beast within is an excellent removal card.

glad that you like it. :) still a work in progress, as shown by all the suggestions above, but I think that overall it has some potential to be pretty good. :)

my bad, you are correct. it doesn't untap. I was thinking of a different card.
however, neither gigadrowse nor gridlock help Tolarian entrancer, which is the core of the deck. although they do help Dichotomancy, which does compliment the effect.

Better than gridlock? I like gigadrowse but it requires all blue mana, whereas gridlock only needs one blue mana. Now admittedly this is a mono blue deck so that isn't as much of an issue, but gridlock still has one advantage: It can tap or untap things. So I can use it on my own creatures, whereas gigadrowse only taps and therefore lessens the overall flexibility to me.

Because this was supposed to be a budget deck. However, mana drain IS an EVIL counter card.

Well, I have a card in the sideboard to tap things for Dichotomancy, so that isn't really an issue. But if I remove counterbore I am still wanting another extraction card to replace it with or another counter card. Actually... Would probably be more interested in another counter card. But I still need to keep cards that make my opponent shuffle.

Probe is very good, and I was certainly contemplating putting it in here. But what to take out for it? I am thinking about removing Dichotomancy, but I am hoping to swap it for another extraction card.

Any suggestions?

Well, the really mana-heavy card is dichotomancy at 8 mana but it can be played for 3, hence the funky curve. Although I like what you are saying about have of binding and hidden strings, I am actually heavily considering removing Dichotomancy for something more... Effective, instead of fun. But I am really not sure what to replace it with. Any suggestions? Preferably with another extraction card, for the shuffles. :)

Echo mage might not be a bad addition here, but I really want more non creatures.

Ah, but what would you remove to put in path?

I found forbidden orchard a LONG time ago... I was trying to find lands that added any color. Settled on city of brass instead. But I think that orchard fits here incredibly well. :)

Also here are a few cards that you might find interesting.

Xantid swarm, bramblesnap, joven's ferrets, sheltering ancient, dolmen gate, sacred prey. And there are a few others as well. But I got to go for a bit.

Also a bit curious about taunting elf. Why do you want it to be blocked?

Love the use of jangling automaton. Very cool. :). Only suggestion I might have is throwing in forbidden orchard. :)

I am thinking of re-doing this deck. With magus of the candelabra instead. Which might make things a tad easier to work with. No mill because of the green, but I am sure that i can figure something out.

(not to mention making it WAAAAAAAY cheaper.)

Not bad. But sadly not what I am looking for here. By no means a bad card though. :). I could think of several evil things to do with that card. * gives evil grin.*

True, but it only creates colorless mana. :(. Otherwise I would totally agree. :)
