well first of all this really just started as a deck i litterally threw together with what i had immediatly at hand, secondly i don't need to agressively play mana all i need is to drop either caged sun, or gauntlet of power and next turn i can play the augur and then some. things like treasure mage let me search for caged sun, and i wasn't concerned about basing it around mill, one of the main things is that this guy is a commander that does something immediatly upon entering, i like the whole no hands for your opponent. as for the counter spells, i've never needed that many especially considering that this deck is blue creature based, and besides that counterspell is expensive and i don't have the money for it. if you look the deck is mainly creature based, and it has bounce(could use more), a tiny amount of counters(which is what i planned), plenty of mind control to deal with bombs your opponents play, and a lot, a lot of scary creatures. idk considering that this was made on the spot with what i had, i like it and there's not much i would change, i see what ur saying, but i prefer it as a heavy creature deck.

since hes running a control he doesn't need that many creatures, aditionally i think haunting echoes is a little expensive for its effect given nicks deck, he should be able to strip the most annoying things with surgical extraction, or memoricide. but

take out psychic miasma, up the inquiisitions to 4 and up the throats to 4, cut the memoricide to 2 put in 2 praetors grasp, work in doom blades and work in chubby myr, because mirran crusader will murder you without them.

yes, and i figured zombie infstation i can discard a pharoah for a 2/2 zombie eaarly game then the next creature that gets through is destroyed and i get the pharoah back idk it seems like it might work alright, the best part is is that this deck is in expensive.

i wanted to keep it really low cost and fast hitting. i agree fling and act of treason are great together, but that costs five mana and im trying to do more with five mana, i can do six damage with a goblin grenade and arsonist or goblin fireslinger and that only cost 1-2 mana leaving more open to do other things, such as incinerate or chandra's pheonix or perhaps it is second turn and i have done six damage, even better and i like that speed better! or chandras pheonix with firebreathing. i see what ur going for but i was going for low cost burn

haha thanks man but honestly this elf deck is a bullshit one just for fun, an excuse to have Radha and get him bigger lol idk why i just like that card but its fun for me to make him not a 2/2 idk anyway here's how i would make an actual elf deck.... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=204455

thanks, i still have a lot to do with this, but for the most part everything up there has a purpose and i'm trying to mess with the right amounts. i don't think the batterskull warents a mystic because, early game i'm trying to get pests paladins and small eaquipment out. so 5 mana and by then i should be able to equip for free with batterskull. idk i will keep all this in mind. and the mesas pose a problem due to financial issues.

i'm not sure because i think plague stinger has its place, it is a flying infect which can be really annoying, and it also costs only 2 mana, if it were my deck i might consider taking out diabolic tutor because with any infect deck you will want speed and spending four mana usually occupies a whole turn, and the tutor uses that turn to search for something to play next turn. i also think you have enough control to hold out in case it takes a while to get something scary which shouldn't take long considering as far as infect decks go this deck has a lot. but ultimately it is your call.

viral drake is a great card, at the prerelease I saw just how powerful it is. it is a great blocker, has flying and infect, and above all the greatest a proliferate ability. just a thought
