I felt the need to bring this account back for a comment; if you think you're upset by having two of your decks removed, how do you think that I, who never really wanted to be on the front page, felt seeing deck after deck of mine being exactly netdecked by the people at the shop? I've been on this site since the Zendikar block, and I've had front page decks rather consistently since.

I think rather than giving more hot slots based on reputation, which would wind up simply saturating the hot page with more specific users(the sin of Vault 2.0), there should be a time limit imposed on how long a deck stays on the hot page. Something like a week after it hits, and then it becomes the next page. Then have it removed from the hot page after a month, would be a system I would like to see.

If it was any other time it'd feel lackluster, but it being in the upkeep just really makes it worth the three mana. Card filtering is a powerful tool in pretty much anything, but in blue it can mean the difference between playing land pass, and playing Snap Caster for Inquisition of Kozilek.

And Nekusar is the one I was talking about, it's Underworld Dreams on a stick! Oloro however... That's so dirty I need to get it lol.

I can dig it. My usual counterpart for the darker side of magic is getting married too, and our extractor is working 90 hour weeks... I've been on backlog for this kind of thing.

Ooooooh, it'll be vicious in EDH. I've only seen the Zombie so far, but if it's appropriate to the tone of the rest of the goodies I'm going to enjoy it same as before. The Commander I'm planning on using is Thassa though, she's just too freaking cool. Scry 1 every upkeep? Yes, very yes! That makes her worth it even if I don't have Devotion.

Oh indeed, Chains in anything is far from slouching, but it almost feels redundant in Winter Void to me sometimes. I think Orzhov Enlightened Tutor based toolboxes are where Chains gets to really shine its brightest.

Waste Not however utilizes an inevitability, and turns it into a resource. I simply love that idea! It's good to be back :D

Another victim? I've been a victim for a loooong time :| I play every deck that Extraction destroys; Reanimator, XX-Lands, Doomsday, ect.

Every time I lose to Extraction, I'm going to see this image in my head.

It really shouldn't. I liked it better when the most effective kill legitimately was Jinxed Idols, this is just boring :|

And it might not be the same, but telling them that gets a similar dirty look. Somebody played a Pox build against this, and it made me so happy, I brought out Lage after thinking they'd been exhausted of kill NOPE! I got hit with a Geth's Verdict /AND/ they used Surgical Extraction on it! It was beautiful.

School, I had all of my assignments on my non-raided OS drive for some stupid reason, and when I went to reinstall W8, I lost my USB backup >_____________> I have done fifteen assignments since Saturday.

And that just makes me want to play a Kokusho nuke with Sanguine Bond. I'd be /that/ guy :P I'd also still love to see what Pox does in a 30+ situation, I've seen the hatred it breeds with just six, but holy balls that card just gets better as the number scales!

This might be the most casual design you've made in a long time. Makes me think of back when Joe's one {B} aggro deck in that aspect really.

Man, I freaking miss playing magic now.

So I went online with a list of this more tailored to my playing, and enjoyed absolutely devastating a series of stoneblade and XX-Lands decks. One of such changes was Pithing Needle in the main, occupying the slot the Disk usually takes. Stopping the ridiculous Dark Depths setup, wallet sculptors, and Mystics without extracting was quite powerful.

I was thinking more along the lines of Praetor's Grasp in terms of effect, but you rip it from either players SB. I'd rather it be a Sorcery, since doing it in response to something would be a bit insane.
It'd also probably need some sort of restriction, like a Wish, but you could argue that the restriction is the same as the primary benefit of ripping it from the opponents SB.

I think I'd teach everybody at the shop how to play Doomsday if they made that a card, even just one mirror match each time would be awesome. TNT would also be a neat deck to see mirrors of, but ANT and TES would actually remain about the same to me :|

YuGiOh didn't teach me to read, but it definitely is what got me into the control mindset. A lot of people go for OTKs, and I'm cheap, so I went for things that stop them :) I can dig it that you didn't get into it, it's really weird, and I doubt I'd be back in it if it hadn't been my first TCG.

One of best things I've ever managed was taking some poor bastards only Chain of Vapor, meaning Ethersworn stuck. I beat them with that Canonist XD
Also, if such a card existed that could wish/extract from another persons board, can you imagine how weird Doomsday mirror matches would be? It'd be awesome, to the point that I hope that's going to be a thing soon.

Never really left, mostly just lurked. I'm pretty much out of projects till M14, so I got bored and started playing other TCGs again. Oddly enough YuGiOh is what I've been brewing for.

Fell asleep after three days on two hours, today was a good day.

Meekstone really is just brutal, but the biggest piss-off for aggro players is if it gets setup with Blind Obedience. You want a creature? It better be 1-2/x, or it's not doing anything but looking pretty.

Praetor's Grasp is something I'm always torn by, it's targeted extraction that lets me play the card I rip, but it could be Hide // Seek 4 with Ethersworn Canonist, or a Revoker. But there's not many plays as evil as it can be.

Thanks! This thing is just as fun as it looks, depending on which side of the table you're on :P

I know it's super cheesy, but I standby Goryo's Vengeance over Animate Dead in blitz Reanimator. Grabbing a Griselbrand to draw, swing, draw, or freaking Emrakul? What's not to love?

In blitz style I also find it a bit of a tossup between the blue trips vs Faithless Looting. The blue digs deeper, but Lootings and Study pitch to the graveyard. In a build like this it seems like the latter would do better, whereas the ones that run Emrakul would do better to run the usual suspects.

It's been a while since Blitz had something new hit, last time probably was Emrakul and Goryo's Vengeance. I have to say I'm liking the facelift, it seems much more consistent, while still retaining a high degree of power.

It's definitely amazing with Deathrite, and I can understand moving away from Berserk. It's a great card, but pump is aging a bit, and outside of 10L it isn't as pretty anymore.

That song is one of many reasons metal players should learn how to play slide.

This deck is pretty slick, but I'm honestly surprised you stuck with only two copies of Berserk. With the 2:4 setup with Grisly and Mulch it makes sense, it's just I'm still used to every Filth player running the full set.

I'm not suggesting Pithing Needle in place of the second Teeg, I'm the one who suggested the second Teeg. I'm suggesting Pithing Needle over the fourth Mox, or the singleton Chalice.

I know having Teegs is better, I'm talking about the Mox. I don't get why four of them and me don't get along, but it just doesn't work out for the best usually.

It increases reliability for getting one in the opener, but it's still a slot that could be a Chalice, or a Needle.

True, it has a shot, I'm just a pessimist. And I like the changes, a bit surprised you took the Daze out of the SB instead of the Mox, but I like it.
