First Strike and Infect are awesome together.

Illegal deck-Wall of Tanglecord has a green mana symbol.
I'm probably just going to buy the last few ascensions I need to actually build it then try it out at my local shop. I'll post once I've tried it.
You need some Wall of Tanglecord to stop aerial assaults. Chumping with the birds is gonna suck, you'd lose mana and a creatue. I like the concept, great casual deck. Maybe add some pump or vines to save your creatures.
I still want to build this deck. I just made a few small changes. -scroll thief, too blah +thrumming bird, a creature that can max out the quest by itself if left alone -serpent of the endless seas, too underpowered. especially if the quest goes off early when there are few islands in play. This is a pretty single-minded deck. I'm sure I could make it more competitive if I tried but something about the way it is now just makes me happy, haha.
Ah, ok. I was totally boggling at that one for a bit haha. That makes perfect sense.
I get ya. I do kinda want to keep it just red, but I'll take a look at the blue stuff because I do want some scry like effects. I don't like the drawback of Lion's Eye Diamond, it seems really bad to me for this deck... unless I'm missing something? What are you going to cast with the mana if you have nothing in hand?
I've loved Kuldotha Rebirth, from the moment I opened my first one I had big plans for it. Have you thought about Gitaxian Probe? It let's you scope out their opening hand and thin your library for a mere 2 life. I was wondering if you could check out a deck of mine, it's a storm deck and I know you can pick those apart pretty well from what I've read. I'm new to pretty much anything beyond standard and I could use your input on my vintage(or legacy if I swap 3 cards) Turn 1 Gobwin deck.
I'm going to undertake the hefty task of teaching my girlfriend to play magic soon and I was going to make a deck just like this to teach her the basics. Good to know it's also a devastatingly powerful deck type.
I put Garruk and Furnace Celebration in the sideboard. I'm going to try and see how this plays before I add Hatchers and Predators. They are good generators but I want this deck to be as fast as possible. I'll test it out some and see if there is any lull in the play with and without those two cards.
Hand hate is a better idea than Misstep, good call.
Glistening Oil for removal. It kills their creatures over time while making them useless as attackers if Melira is in play and returns to your hand once they're dead. I think it would be the perfect tool for this deck. Mental Misstep can provide some measure of protection for Melira. SB Autumn's Veil for additional protection.
I'd take Broodwarden over Coat of Arms, personally. That way you don't help out your opponents possible tribe and your web of power doesn't collapse if you lose spawns. Might I suggest Fresh Meat as well? It practically begs to be played in this deck and I think it would outperform Hellion Eruption. Check out my Eldraxian deck. It's fast and based around spawn tokens: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=194228
Very nice! Melira is one versatile healer. The two infinite combos are so simple and elegant.
Bushwhacker is more explosive.
I'll probably skip out on the priests, that was just an idea I borrowed from a different Bushwhacker-centric deck I had planned out. I don't really need the rockspeakers either I suppose, I already have 8 more efficient creatures. Though with a Geosurge I think those creatures would shine in this deck. The turn two win definitely relies on multiple pyretic rituals. Unlikely but possible... I think.
I really like the manamorphose suggestion, that is a great addition. I'll probably stick to mono red but if I build any other storm decks I'll keep the blue stuff in mind.
Also thinking of making some space for Tangle Angler or Prized Unicorn.
-1 forest -1 mountain +2 Contested Warzone -1 Might of the Masses +1 Overwhelming Stampede Wondering about adding some Khlani Garden/Turntimber Grove and cutting back on Rootbound Crag since I'm running fewer basic lands.
I really like it. It's straighforward with pretty nifty and nasty creatures. They all work well together. Sideboard has some good stuff too. I love red/green decks a lot-Check mine out if you get a chance. It's nothing like this but it's loads of fun to play.(I guess I have two on here! Sunshine in My Pocket and Eldraxian)
