Ogre's Cleaver + Duelist is the main reason why it's in there. Puresteel Paladin is a good call! It would make this into a $10 budget deck though.

Yeah... I would like to try a tournament along with a few friends... maybe sometimes. I don't know. They seem really fun.

I don't actually play in tournaments, but I play with my friends, and our favorite format is modern...
Usually, I run my Monoblack control deck (or my knight deck), it isn't super good, because I built it on a budget, but it is fun to the whole group. I don't have much money to spend on cards... but I still enjoy Magic with my friends.

I LOVE your version of this deck!
You forgot some powerful things, however.
1. Extract: 1 mana sorcery, awesome to look through your opponent's deck and make them SHUFFLE!
2. Lantern of Insight: 1 mana artifact, reveals top cards and allows a 1 time shuffle!
Memory's Journey can also be better than Stream of Consciousnesses if you're using it on your opponents.
