Elder Cathar is better than Selfless Cathar as someone gets permanently big, and throw in some Ravenous Demons to really cap it off.

Omnath, Locus of Mana will get that ridiculous amount of mana quicker. He might violate the terms of the challenge as he himself is a win condition, but hes pretty much the way to get the mana in a sensible amount of time.

well arcbound overseer casts 8 mana where Steel overseer costs 2, do the same thing, and steel buffs himself and Mycosynth Golem.

probably the metamorphs and 1 of each rootbound crag and copperline gorge. You dont need to copy anything with the metamorphs when you plan to run them over and 23 lands is slightly too much for an aggro deck. Then you can have 3 pyrehearts and 2 young wolves.

Pyreheart Wolf makes this deck nearly impossible to stop. It halves the number of creatures they can chump block, and, when comboed with Hero, they cant chump block anyone. Plus, he has undying, which gives you some more defense against board wipes.

Young wolf is another great undying card. 1/1 when dies and gives you a 2/2, all for 1 G mana.

the unwinding clock/Warden combo seems superfluous. I mean, it works, but only when you get both. the clock is a dead draw if you dont have a warden.

Darksteel Plate lets you keep creatures you want to keep, like Requiem Angel, when everyone else goes pop.

I want to question the werewolves. What purpose do they serve? Neither is helped by being stowed away in Helvault (unlike Fiend Hunter). Acidic Slime would work great here, as would Inquisitor Exarch and possibly Blade Splicer.

Worldslayer is another great boardwipe card, especially as you get to keep the boardwiper.

Wolfbitten Captive NEEDS to be in here. One-drops are mandatory in a WW deck, as the chances they play a spell first turn a pretty low. Reckless Waif is another good option, but i find her too slow late game.

Ive run my Werewolf deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=291624) a few times and the biggest problem i find is that you run into something you just cant handle (Sorin, Glissa, Ratchet Bomb, etc). The easiest way to solve this is to run Beast Within. Getting rid of something you cant deal with for a measly 3/3 is a great trade-off.

What to take out: Daybreak Ranger is not as good as its cracked up to be. Not many decks run enough flying for her human side to be useful. Feed the Pack is an okay card, but what would you sac? i know you're doubling the power, but all your transformed creatures have a legit ability that isnt worth the trade.

I have to disagree, angel. 6 power/toughness over 2 creatures (one with trample), 2 life, and 2 shocks all for 4 mana is one fantastic deal. WIth Immerwolf thats 8 power, and Immerwolf has such great synergy with every other werewolf that the slight disappointment of not getting some more creatures doesnt compare.

Plus, a 2/2 lord with intimidate is a great card, plus, the threat of Huntmaster providing you with some more stuff dissuades your opponents from popping Immerwolf. And if they do, hey, enjoy your bonus creature, life, and shocks.

In general tho, Amnthompson, this is a great deck for the price. My only edits would be to swap out the Pierced Hearts for Stalked Prey (mite b a bit pricy tho) cuz the counters stay on your wolves when they're human, and swap the nightbirds for Wild Hunger. Hunger lets you plow rite over chump blocks and buffs you creatures TWICE. Hunger is definately in your price range as its common.

This is my Werewolf deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=291624. Pretty pricy, but thats cuz it has Sword of Body and Mind for the wolf tokens.

Immerwolf would work great here. He buffs every single one, contrary to Mayor who only does when transfromed, and keeps your werewolves transformed.

Ive had qualms abt waif for a while, and i like your solution of birds. but the problem i have with birds if i dont want to play anything (to transform the wolves), he cant do anything, lacking power. But, on the subject of ramp, Scorned Villager is basically a werewolf Llanowar elves for 1 more, but for that 1 you get double the mana. Plus, if i dont play anything, hes a 2/2 with vigilance.

Hunter's Guile comes to mind for hexproof, but i would psycologically keep it for immerwolf, making it a dead draw.

Thanks for the comment, and your ideas really help.

Agreed, Immerwolf doesnt have great synergy with Huntmaster, but getting 6 power spread across 2 creatures, 2 life, and 2 Shocks all for only 4 mana is a fantastic deal. Plus, the threat of me getting another creature and 2 life dissuades them from burning, destroying, or otherwise remove Immerwolf to get my other werewolves to transform back.

Sundial of the infinite is not as good as its cracked up to be. Ending the turn for Mimic Vat only delays their exile until the opponents end step (it says NEXT end step not THE end step).

Doubling Season/Parallel Lives? Especially with Mimic Vat, you get one token, get a copy of it, forced to exile the original, get to keep the copy. Wont work well for the Precursor and Persecutor, so use it wisely.

Birthing Pod can get you up to the titans. Sheoldred is a great fit here, better than eternal witness (tho Seholdred is legendary and expensive). Obviously you dont sac him.

Since this is Modern, Grave Pact is an absolute must. Sac your creatures for the combo AND a board wipe on their side.

Ahh yes you are correct. Eldrazi Monument is the card i was thinking. Basically, your creatures are buffed, hard to block, and impossible to kill, all for the price of one measly creature per turn (usually the same creature as it keeps coming back).

Bloodghast, though not a zombie, is great to sac then bring back. And Virulent Wound gets you another use of the Messenger (the -1/-1 counter nullifies the +1/+1 counter so both are removed).

Eldrazi Temple is a great way to sac creatures. And Pawn of Ulamog is a great card, but in more than 1.
