Mayor of Avarbuck is a great card to boost ur humans, and the 3/3 wolves wont hurt if he happens to transform. Hunter's insight can provide some draw, oblivian ring is great for removal, and Angelic destiny is a great finisher. IMO: -3 Spare from Evil, -2 Sharpened Pitchfork, -2 Selfless Cathar, -1 White Knight, +4 Mayor +2 Oblivion Ring, +2 Hunter's Insight. But whatever works best for u.

also curse of oblivion. i dont know how to counter both of those, but green has plenty of artifact hate, and ancient grudge would counter nicely as i can cast it when it is milled.
trepanation blade?
my actual idea was to completely mill myself, as in no library, then use Memory's Journey (flashback ftw) to get back Laboratory maniac and whatever else i need to finish the game (land, archivist/twisted).
i was thinking of Jace's Archivist. And now u mention draw, Jace, mind adept would work well, especially if i spam his 0 ability on myself.
the best part of this deck is that it has a low mana cost in addition to its awesomeness. Dearly Departed is really expensive to play when its best ability is when its in the graveyard.
oh derp my bad i keep forgetting abt the -1/-1. Nice job on the deck.
honor of the pure doesnt have great synergy with Mentor of the Meek as ur creatures pass the power 2 mark. I say +2 Bonds of faith (great card) +3 Tezzeret's gambit (u dont need to splash blue just suck it up and pay 2 life. Draw and Proflierate is a great combo) -2 Automatons (ur getting a bunch of bonuses anyway its a waste of 2 cards. The deck is solid without him), -1 Angelic Destiny (the +4/+4 is great but i never liked the "becomes an angel" part. Bonds of faith is a better pump), -2 Mentor (Tezzeret's is better for draw). Another quick thing is that SoWaP gives the equipped creature protection from white. Uh... I'm fairly certain that includes ur own spells too. Something to think about....
how do u plan to kill the myr retriever?
i would suggest dropping like half of the "destroy target creatures" in favor of pyro and chandra as well as some creature or player burn like incinerate, shock, and arc trail. Those provide more versality. But, that would mean a lot more red and would ruin ur mana equilibrium :D
I agree with dropping the decrees, but i like the Army of the Damned. Play that turn 2 (when u attack with maelstrom Archangel) and they r dead REAL quick.
pyromancer's ascension and the new chandra come to mind. Chandra mite b too pricy for u tho. Pyromancer should b cheaper now its out of standard.
but they're not 2/2 for long. They have haste, so they can attack that turn, they have flying, so they're hard to stop, so they should get 2 +1/+1 counters the turn they are cast. Then 2 more. Then 2 more. until the opponent dies. I think that is a better option than Vaasgoth or outcasts. Personally, +2/3 Nobles, +2 Marauders, -4 Outcasts
Bonds of Faith is like a combined pacifism and a buff, depending on what u need it for. I think YES. i totally forgot about that when i posted.
Trepanation Blade is an absolute must for any mill deck. and i would suggest a few quest for Ula's temple to get Nemisis out quicker.
Contagion Engine is really expensive for just proliferate. Contagion Clasp is a better option, as it can kill a 1/1 creature when dropped at 2 mana, and can start proliferating late. Tezzeret's Gambit is also a better choice, as it comes with draw which SoWaP, but it only proliferates once.
i honestly don't know. Heartless+Adaptive is a great combo, as they cancel out. Dropping a Stalked, Noble, and Heir mite b worth it, but i would have to run it a few times.
Definately Falkenrath Nobles. And if ur going for morbid Fume Spitter and Sheoldred can provide a steady stream of deaths.
i would increase the number of Stromkirk Nobles they r a great one-drop and pay off later as he keeps getting stronger. The Vampire Outcasts aren't going for me, as u have to get the bloodthirst for them to b worth the 4 mana. Falkenrath Marauders are a way better late game option. Here's my B/R Vamps Deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=268645 i Like the tormented Souls, hes a good one-drop too.
i think we can all agree Zendikar was on the best blocks to come through:) And i do think this is worth a revisit, as most of it is Scars block, and the few Zendikar u would have to take out could easily be replaced by new innistrad cards. Plus it looks like it could kick a**.
