True story what Spiffmeister said, it is a game. Suppose to be for relaxing, having a good time, socializing with friends.

Fun stuff!

I have all of you beat, I am 30 years old, been done with school. Even got a 2 year college degree.
BUT AS OF LAST MONTH, i am back enrolled in college. To finish an education degree.

So, in about 2 years time...i may be one of your school teachers, lmao.

Geez. I am 30, play Magic, and use under case i's.

True story, when i was 21, in college, went to a local magic shop, and (no lie) I walk in and see one of the 40 year old college school teachers there playing Magic! He beat my butt with a donate/grandeur deck.

To emphasize getting praise and likes....most people just build decks, and then post them on other people's decks asking for help.

That will not get you far. Sure, you want advice on your deck, but so does everyone else.

Here is my suggestion, that works for me.
Go go new/unloved decks. Search for a deck title that you know you like: for example, you love red burn decks. So, find a red burn deck on the new/unloved section. Look at it. See where you think it needs help. Then offer advice to that person. At the same time, as you give advice, ask the person to check out some of your decks and to offer advice.

Not Grim Prospects, clickboss.
At your age...if i would of collected Lion's Eye Diamonds, Forces of Will, Rishadan's Port...and other cards, i would be well off right now.

And fame and popularity, can be had, by making solid decks and giving out lots of advice to other deck builders.

Northy found his fame in being able to ( i think over 300-500 decks) make solid budget decks.
Some of those decks, even, could tackle thousand dollar decks.

Hell...he deserves some praise for even being able to come up with 300 decks...budget or not. I made 50 decks...and now feel burnt out...and desperately searching for new/cool cards to build decks around.

With Percy Jackson...i tried to do Harry Potter. The Houses.
I did a Slytherin Deck. But Ravenclaw proved too difficult.

Yep, and Middle Earth could be tackled too. As vaan104 suggested.

Magic actually did the Aladdin theme, themselves!

Definitely will check it out.

I need to look into doing more themed decks. Great way to refresh Magic...instead of making the same old Goblin deck over and over. I mean, not to sound like i am bragging, but how many people have thought to do a deck based on the Wizard of Oz?

Have one on here...that i stopped working on, i think it is on this site. Based on Monster Mash song.

Want to do more. Was thinking about, "the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe." Not sure if they have a wardrobe in Magic the Gathering, though.

With most of the spells in this deck being 1 mana...I agree, as stated above, that Browbeat (or some other type of draw card) is needed. Issue is, with everything costing 1 mana, you are going to run out of cards in your hand, by Turn 4 or 5. That is where Browbeat helps.

"I am happy to take a look and share the little I know. I'm pretty good, but for real amazing advice there are far better than I. I am good at finding specific cards on gatherer."

That is me too, KnightoftheHokeyPokey.

Decent deck builder.
Decent player.
Decent with understanding rules.
But really good at suggesting cards (if I understand the deck).

I already suggested it, friend!

"A red/ black version of this deck shows much promise.:
1) Tainted Strike comes to mind. Pay 6 life to make Souleater 4/4 then play Tainted Well and Assault Strobe. 3rd turn Infect win.
2) Wall of Blood/Fling. Cast Wall of Blood, then sack life and then Fling him."

I still can't help but wonder feel if spudshaver and c smith 1989's deck can't be combined. Think I may look it over.
