On a whole, that sounds awesome, but why so many tribes banned? Some I can understand, but others I can't o.O

This was a rough idea done in a few minutes and I don't actually own most of the cards in it :(
If I could, I would
Not sure what to say except to take a look at my Rogue Extraction deck for ideas: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=124575
I'd say stick with Legacy or Vintage untill you feal you're comfortable with the mechanics of the newer sets and the rule changes, then venture to Extended, Standard and all the rest. Just my 2 cents :P
Tribal format? what tribal format? what are your shop's "rules", banned list, etc?
Nothing wrong with living in SA, what I meant was it's sad that I don't live anywhere near the others :( Things may cost ALOT more than they should and, being a 3rd world country, the internet connection sucks, but SA is one of those places that grows on you and you keep going back to. You should seriously visit SA sometime :p
Ded; "Wierd? You're calling me WIERD? Just who..." Wards; "Dood, calm down, he's... ack..." (Ded begins choking Wards, but then stops), "What was that for?" Ded; "Sorry, it's just that whenever you talk here on the Vault, you tend to want to badmouth the people here. So, what where you saying?" Wards; (keeping a safe distance from Ded) "ahem... sure's just pointing out what 'we' are on this site and you have to admit it's true." Ded; (suppressing the urge to throttle Wards) "... ... ... You got a point... never expect me to say that to you again." (Wards nods in acknowledgement) ============================ ------------------------------------------------- ============================ Now to comment normally (mostly because I'm getting a headache trying to continue my mental instability) @surewhynot - Thanks for the recognition, I seldom get the recognition I deserve :P Fave card? I don't have one, but if I had to choose, I'd say Infiltration Lens, draw is just nasty in a goblin/burn deck and equiping the lens to Goblin Gavalier is why I came 3rd (out of 9 people) last week :D (it's my first time making it into the top 3 of a tournament). @Izgeraldz13 - Me? A celebrity? You sure about that? I'm normally just considered to be the guy that's just there (like part of the furniture). @batman69 - Sadly, I live in South Africa (and you're not getting any more info than that), so the odds of me knowing anyone on the Vault are slim to none. I don't play any sports, the most strenuous thing I do is ride bicycle to work every day. "favorite card combo", hmmm... don't know about that, but I have been enjoying the "combo" of equiping Goblin Gavalier with Infiltration Lens :D
I nominate this for best comment on this deck
Wards; "Gerald, Gerald, Gerald *shakes head* You are one of the type of people I like to... ack..." Ded (strangling Wards... again); "Well, almost all the new decks I look at are Standard, only the 'Front Page' decks tend to be non-standard and even then some of them are standard. You just need to look hard enough, also don't forget to check the 'Upcoming' list too."
Wards (hiding from Ded); "Church, are you feeling ok? Because you deck... ach.." Ded (choking Wards); "This time you won't get away again... Oh, hi Church, sorry about Wards, he's just recently been let free and now *I* have to look after him [shudders]. Hmmm... Awesome idea, just one problem, where's the Breath of Furys?"
Ded (after beating Wards to a pulp... again); "After reading up on this matter, which didn't take too long, I found I am in fact wrong about Melira and persist. This is what proves me wrong: '112.6h This new addition to the list of rules explaining where abilities work says that if an object has an ability that says counters can't be placed on it, that ability functions while the object is entering the battlefield. "Placed" carries double duty, meaning adding counters while an object is on the battlefield and also having an object entering the battlefield with counters, so the ability of Melira's Keepers, and Tatterkite before it, has to work in both situations. In fact, the dual nature of "placed" leads to some pretty interesting interactions. Take Melira, Sylvok Outcast. Her second ability effectively means "-1/-1 counters can't be put on creatures you control as they enter the battlefield." This is awesome if that creature is Etched Monstrosity.' This and other new additions to the rules can be found here: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/141a&page=4 I do apologize and I am taking ideas on how to deal with Wards."
Wards; "Finally Ded let me out, now who's deck should I break? Hmmm... What about this one... looks like this poor fool got it wrong, time to tell him how much he.." *THWAK* ... *BASH* ... *THUD* ... Ded; "Sorry about that, I've been struggling to keep Wards in check lately... PUT THAT DOWN... ahem, as I was saying, Wards is being a big problem lately, but (as much as I hate to admit it) he does have a point. Melira's ability that you're trying to manipulate here says: 'Creatures you control can't have -1/-1 counters placed on them.' and persist reads: 'When this creature is put into a graveyard from play, if it had no -1/-1 counters on it, return it to play under its owner's control with a -1/-1 counter on it.' Now while Melira does prevent -1/-1 counters being placed on your creatures, persist doesn't put a -1/-1 counter on the creature, it returns with the -1/-1 counter already there so Melira's ability won't prevent it. What I can suggest is replacing her with Juniper Order Ranger. While he's a more expensive (mana) creature, his ability will get the result you wanted from Melira."
Couldn't get my hands on any in time for the tournament :(
Down side to duplicating the tokens Nacatl War-Pride puts in - they aren't attacking, up side - they don't get exiled at the end of the turn. I must thank you for reminding me why I've been holding onto those Sleep, now to find where I put them...
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=205082 "This card's text does not override other format-imposed restrictions on the number of cards. For example, in a Highlander format, you would still only be allowed one Relentless Rat."
The key card for ani-mill in standard is Elixir of Immortality :p You also don't have enough counterspells to stall (in my opinion)
This is standard, so Seething Song and Desperate Ritual won't be used, but Pyretic Ritual can be. The Red Sun being played for 0 isn't too bad as it shuffles back into the library.
:D ja, the almost always block him and draw in a goblin / burn deck works wonders :p
Kiln Fiend's ability triggers for the number of instants and sorceries you cast and Fire Servant only doubles the damage, not the number of spells, but he Servant will double Fling's damage and that is awesome :) Chandra, the Firebrand and Chandra's Phoenix would be fun in this type of deck :p Firebrand's -2 would be fun, but the copy doesn't count towards Fiend's ability activation :(
