Depending on how many of those Giants are warriors, Brighthearth Banneret mite help make casting the Giants sooner. Aven Mindcensor can help counteract Boldwyr Heavyweights search problem. Just ideas I came up with when Lorwyn / Shadowmoor was standard legal.

I understand what you mean. I only started at the end of Kamigawa, but lucky for me a few players in my group still use some of the older cards. Gatherer is also a nice 'tool' I use when designing a deck, it helps me find all sorts of not so commonly used. / forgotten cards.

Thanks. I enjoy doing things in a way that doesn't normally come to mind for most :p

Any new way to nuke is fun. I'm just trying to decide if I should use Ancient Stirrings to search for the locket :?

I considered them too, but found I needed the accelerated mana to be around after a Pyroclasm.

"not traditional" is what I often do. Creativity is the one thing people lack in when designing / building decks and something I always try to do :p

The Parasite is a nice card, but the reason I don't use it is the players in my group (the ones I wish to defeat) play a lot of non basic lands and that makes their decks have a lot of different lands. Thus making the parasite not that useful. I'd rather try work in the Avalanche Riders I have.

The Surgical's mite be a nice idea, but I'd rather keep the lands in the grave for Roiling Terrain to do more damage. I mite add the Extractions to my mono green land destruction deck :p

The problem with Braid of Fire (that I already own 3 of) is I'd only be able to use the mana in the phase it gives it to me, the upkeep and oy instants and activated abilities can be used in the upkeep. Most land destruction cards are only sorcery speed.

Nice human deck. Human decks have been a little much ($) for my liking, so I made my own Standard White Weenie :p

*WARNING* Shameless deck posting follows:

Lol. For a while I ran 2 Hair-Strung Koto (I only own 2) in my elf token deck, but ended up winning via damage before drawing them that I eventually took them out for the 2 Squall Lines I own.

Personally I prefer Ichor Wellspring over Mycosynth, but I can see you needeing to guarantee the lands.
Mox Opal, Sphere of the Suns and Pristine Talisman are some options I'd consider using for mana ramp. I'd suggest other non standard stuff, but it looks like you're sticking to standard :|

I actually have Avalanche Riders, just been trying to deside what to take out....

Wake of Destruction has 2 major problems. 1) its casting cost and 2) it's not Modern legal.

Black Green is my favourite dual colour, but it can be difficult to ballence. If you do, invest in some dual lands. Because you're playing elves, Gilt-Leaf Palace mite be best, but Woodland Cemetery and Overgrown Tomb are nice alternatives. Additionally if you do add black, Prowess of the Fair, Eyeblight's Ending, Lys Alana Scarblade, Rhys, the Exiled and Glissa, the Traitor are cards to think of using. Even though you don't play artifacts, Glissa should be a must, BGG for a 3/3 first striking deathtoucher is nothing to laugh at.

I don't have any Dues of Calamity and because of its mana cost, I'm not sure I'd add them. I am thinking of replacing Plunder with Melt Terrain for more damage off the land kill.

On a second look, I'm surprised that there aren't any Llanowar Elves O.O They're normally a first pic in almost any green deck.

Green shouldn't need to worry about having removal. It's creatures should be bigger or out number the opponent's "threats", removing the need for removal. But if you insist on a removal card, Beast Within is your best choice.

Other than my confusion of your addition of Brittle Effigy and Primalcrux (they don't seam to fit and Primalcrux is not an elf), this is an interesting build.
