First play test this afternoon: 2-0Played first game against Varolz. Got rolling with a first turn Land Tax and an early victimize bringing back Darien and Emeria Angel. Skullclamp and Dictate of Erebos helped seal the deal by netting 2 cards per bird token and forcing opponent to sacrifice creatures. Played second game against Sliver Queen. Got mana screwed early on, but a perfectly timed Merciless Eviction cleared the board of 10 slivers and allowed me to set up my combo pieces. Sadistic Hypnotist, Grave Pact and Skullclamp sealed the victory.

Other options: Ice Quake, Molten Rain, Rain of Tears, Rancid Earth
The best land destruction card for the cost is Sinkhole. Another option might be Arc of Blight or Boom//Bust.
My company is not Microsoft by any means, but same idea. :) I am the official Magic the Gathering Coordinator at my office. I have done sealed deck tourneys, Lunch: The Gathering, and MTG After Dark. It's nice to have people to play with on a regular basis.
It's a software company, so there are quite a few "nerds" there, if you catch my drift.
This seems to be my deck style of choice! :)I do not play at the magic shops, mostly at work. We have a nice core of players here that play every wednesday at lunch. I love controlling the board.
I've been tracking this deck since its inception. Can't get anything past me. :)
Leveler means Chump Block city since it doesn't fly or have trample. It was in the original incarnation, but was removed because of the chumpable nature.
Nice deck. Seems like a more expensive version of my Teysa EDH deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/berndttoast/decks/teysa-orzhov-scion-edh/I have a little more combo power with Conspiracy, but this deck looks mean and nasty.
Yeah, there's not really any good instant speed discard that effects everyone. But, with the Cloister and Bridge, it means your opponents cannot attack you ever. Not a bad deal.
Update with a bunch of new interactions. Added How to Play with most of the relevant combos.
Since you are running ensnaring bridge, Bottled Cloister would be a good add. It exiles your hand during your opponent's turn and returns your hand during your upkeep. This allows you to attack, if you wanted, and prevent your opponent from attacking since you will have no cards in hand. I also suggest Hymn to Tourach. The best discard card for 2 mana, hands down.
Swamp, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Torpor Orb, Phyrexian Dreadnought, Tainted Strike, Lightning GreavesGotta be on the draw first though.
Unearth might be a good add too. Can pull back any creature (outside of Eater of Days) and it can cycle if you don't need it. Maybe instead of Apostle's Blessing since you have Mother of Runes.
He doesn't have any creatures that produce mana, so this would not work.
I guess I am failing to see how cloudshift will make a copy of the dreadnought?
Reminds me of a deck I have:http://www.mtgvault.com/berndttoast/decks/sundial-of-the-orb/Nice use of white in this. Most of these styles of decks just focus on black. As you can see in my deck, my alternate torpor orb is sundial of the infinite. Trigger goes on the stack and the turn is ended, no drawback. Interesting take.
Yeah, sure do. Added 2 Cloudshift and removed 2 Shelter.
Unshackled is right. That's a pretty mean combo engine once you get that beast out. Using Fertilid to kill an opponent using 4 mana is pretty nuts. Well done sir.
Yeah, I didn't own any Liliana's Caress at the time of building this one. This is another "douche" deck that I can only play once in a while for fear of losing my friends. But damn it is fun to play... :)
