Yeah, turn 1 play forest, tap forest play Arbor elf.
Turn 2 play forest, tap forest play Utopian Sprawl targeting untapped forest and choosing blue. Tap untapped forest for GU, tap arbor elf, untap forest with sprawl and then tap for GU now you have GGUU, play Freed From the Reel on Arbor Elf, floating U, then untap elf, then use elf to untap your enchanted forest for GU... rinse and repeat until you have a stupid amount of mana for a win-con creature such as Mistcutter Hydra with Rancor.

Could be better explained in the OP.

I'm a big fan of stuff like Convoke and Springleaf Drum for this build, a real neat way to just squeeze the value out of your commander.

Any major reason not to put in Maelstrom Wanderer? Playing it from your yard over and over for WUBRG could get stupid.

Merfolk Skydiver should be at least a consideration here. A flyer that uses +1/+1 counters and can proliferate. Might also be worth considering some protection like Dive Down, or Lazotep Plating which has synergy with proliferate.

Final Parting can also grab Urborg and put it into your hand.

I might say for a deck that can generate Rat tokens that Rat Colony is better than Relentless Rats. With that I'd also consider Filth and some way to search it and put it into your yard like Entomb, or Final Parting.

Growth Spiral is a staple in gates builds.

Maelstrom Wanderer, Kiki-Jiki, and Pestermite for lulz is a similarly good-bad deck. Gets you haste, and infinite token guys.

Changed the title, more appropriate I think https://www.mtgvault.com/andarious/decks/ferocious-spellslinger-budget/

Added a description and gave you a credit. Thanks. This is a fun little deck that I think has very explosive potential. I was considering swapping Staggershock for Distortion Strike, but I'm torn on it. Staggershock can finish a game if someone locks out attacking as an option by means other than creatures, but Distortion Strike can get me past hexproof. Maybe I'll go 2 and 2, or trim some other card and make it a bunch of 3 ofs.

I love the interaction of Ferocious and Kiln Fiend. Nice.

inspired to do this, https://www.mtgvault.com/andarious/decks/izzet-spellslinger-budget/

It's about twice the budget, but still pretty cheap.

That's nasty if you pull it off quickly. Might want more draw than just Smothing Tithe. Otherwise it seems to know exactly what it's up to.

Footlight Fiend is like goblin arsonist but even more mana friendly and a $.12 common, plus it hits planeswalkers.

Someone else upvoted the post and I didn't even look at the date when going through decks lol. That's a fair point, big and explosive but not as immediate as you obviously want.

Yeah, similarly I've got a Naya deck that only ended up that way for KoA lol.

I honestly wouldn't know without testing the deck thoroughly, just the ability to jack that life total up into absurdity really makes me laugh, at least on the end of the one playing it. Would suck to be an aggro deck coming in hot and just go, well nope can't win now.
