I'm curious how your Doran deck would stand up to mine. You've got a bit more mana production and less chance to hiccup on aggression (my deck might fail to get the ability to attack with upwards of half its creatures). However my deck also has some great ways to punish higher power (4+) creatures.

Fair enough, traded for Unstoppable Ash. It's probably a better fit anyway because of my spells that punish high power creatures.

Great idea, I'd lean down the equipment for more dudes thought. With only 18 creatures you're going to find more often than not you've got nothing to equip. Consider running on sort of a weenie basis and only fielding a few at a time tops, and using mass removal. Take equipment down to 6 or so, and 4 fetching creatures, 8 depending on format. Stonehewer Giant is amazing, way better than mystics.

Instead of running dudes that pump you for having more gear, just run dudes that pump themselves for having gear. The Duelist is great, so is Sunspear Shakari. Auriok Edgewright can be good if you have a few pieces fielded.

Doh, no S-GC it went out with 2010, thought it was reprinted. No such luck for goblins.

Know what would be really cool with warren instigator? Infiltration Lense. Check it out, sawheet. If you run that combo get rid of your maps for it. Run MOAR goblins. Siege-Gang Commander is hot. Goblin Tunneler isn't bad either, if you want to ensure no block. Personally I like Quest for Pure Flame over Quest for The Goblin Lord, especially with how early you can be swinging for little hits.

Hrm. You're going to have a hard time getting metalcraft with only 4 artifacts in the deck. Unfortunately taking out Elspeth ruins your flavah but it also stops you trashing all your non-token artifacts. I'd take her out, and Whitesun's Passage and put in some more artifacts. Probably trade Gold Myr for something else too. Plenty of good equipment and or utility artifacts. Even Everflowing Chalice and Contagion Clasp would be nice.

This is a Standard format deck. So for mana accel you're a bit limited in options. Something like Explore or Everflowing Chalice if mana speed was an issue for this deck. Which I don't really think it is.

More than anything I think you need to build a sideboard. It would be good to have a few more (4) creatures and probably give up Sleep (it's cool but a SB card really). Blight Mamba's a good one since it's durable. Another good idea for some splash blue would be Mana Leak so you have a bit of counter action.

With your mana curve after that change you could definitely remove 2 fetch land and I would recommend (if you have them or can afford them) Misty Rainforest for 4 of the 6 you have left (-1 life isn't a big deal with the speed you should be pulling).

Another use you may get out of blue would be card draw of some sort or card draw/scry. Steady Progress would suit theme. Tel-Jilad Defiance would be pretty solid in standard as well (even if it's SB). That being said, for pure card draw Preordain is hard to beat.

Happy deck building.

As above + Kor Skyfisher, Ornithopter (Optional, but with Overrun/Garruk it's good). Might as well lean into the punch. Neat concept for sure

Looking for a way to get fast counters on Nissa, if that's the only thing stopping her going in consider Contagion Engine, elf mana's a great way to get it out, and it will also feed Warcaller.

I'm going to until corrected assume the two effects trigger in whatever order you choose them to, so you can sac it if you want to.

Was thinking more and if I were feeling SUPER crazy I could spash white in SB and run Arid Mesa/Marsh Flats in main deck. Put a few plains in SB and whatever white... maybe even consider running Sun Titan SB.

Hrm, true story there. Never thought about that one. Should I be running -1 lands or tap ones do you think? More versatility in tap sac lands but the slower speed might be a problem for a slightly mid range deck.

I like the thought on butcher, it's very heavy on black though... will definitely consider. You're probably right about Fling and I might consider running 3 of Furnace and 2 of Bolt, with 3 Fling.

If you want more dudes Kemba's Skyguard is pretty competitive, gives you flying which you otherwise lack and gains life. Another good thought might be to reduce Journeys to 2 and SB 2. Maybe consider Condemn as an alternative since it's strong as a reactionary measure. JTN's better for non attacking creatures (something of a rarity by comparison). Ajani's strong, so I wouldn't muck with that, good choice. Only other real comment I might make is that you've got a LOT of level up, which seems good in theory but can often be slow.

The good news is it's Green that's out of whack and 8 fetch lands with 4 forests will solve that problem 9 times out of 10. Good curve as well.

This works better for the quest, duelist and Sunspear ARE really good no doubt but a bit of overkill in the end. Consider with Argentum Armor an Ornithopter becomes a 6/8 flying with mega removal built in.

I can see the use in Bonesplitter if you're going to be casting it yourself but more often you won't be, something like Whispersilk Cloak would do you better.

I'd also be tempted to say Meekstone and Stoic Angel represent possibly excessive redundancy.

This would work extremely well with Overrun or Garruk.

What you really need in this deck is ways to fetch to the cards you want. Knight of the Reliquary comes to mind for the land. Probably more than a few ways to get each card. Tutors are great...

As well, maybe Corpse Connoisseur and Grim Discovery for getting the Hex Mage into your hand? I find that sort of thing pretty effective. Wouldn't be hard to foresee a deck loaded primarily with those kinds of cards and some removal.
