actually, I'm running him for his first two abilities mainly. I like the first one because it can mana ramp and evade. And counterflux had never really worked too well for me, but I guess that I'll try that to.

yeah, too bad. I thought of some cards like that. I'd also want grand abolisher, time walk and some others. I might actually make a modern deck with a similar concept.

actually forget what I said. You can use fetch lands for the overgrown tomb as well. You're fine.

I understand what you're saying, but there isn't too much that I can do in that respect. I don't run black, so I can't search my deck for them. I can run hexproof to protect, but that can be in the way and is better in a sideboard. Do you have any suggestions for how I could do that?

courser can be nice, but just isn't enough in modern. And I guess that you can switch swamp for mutavault, but I'd be careful with fetch lands... You should really check out my new american control deck! It's awesome.
