What does everyone think of desecration demon?

Ok, that's fine. I think that you should switch out two llanowar wastes and two overgrown tombs for 2 more forests and two more swamps. If you don't the fetch lands could slow you down. Also, only run one courser. And what are you planning on using Garruk for? most decks run red and will just kill him. All you'll get out of him is four mana for either a kill or a 2/2. So I don't know about it... If you're ready with lands, then try switching out a woodland cemetary for a mutavault. Start there. I think that predator ooze will slow you down in an aggro match, but kill in most others, except against cards like path to exile, that could be problematic. Tell me if you want any other advice. :)

I love this deck! I have a deck (not posted) almost exactly like this! the brimaz work great, especially with gift of orzhova. I don't use the fortifies, or the ajani' s chosen, but I understand why you might want them. you might consider board wipe, and definitely throw in an ajani. double strike is awesome with the archangel. do you own this deck?

Ok. I'm thinking that you should drop predator ooze in favor of either spearbreaker behemoth, or asceticism to regenerate your powerful creatures. I honestly would drop vraska, and I would throw in another liliana. (liliana vess if you're having money issues.) the desecration demon should be replaced by a glissa the traitor. and maybe some lightning greaves if you can fit them. there are other cards that you could use, but I find these very useful. also, work on deck speed. some of these cards may slow you down, be careful with too many large creatures. I hope that this helped. :)

Yes! definately. The priestess is great! But there aren't many permanents that I'll need to worry about by the time I have my creatures, which could be pretty fast... But I'll try it out and get back to you. Thanks. :)

But the problem is that I don't use those colors, I couldn't use the door to nothingness because I can only run the five colored creatures. I can't get other cards, and I don't need to. Darksteel forge is way to much mana, and mycosynth lattice is only good with the forge. So I'm not sure if you understand the concept of this deck. It's not to get mana, although mana helps, it's to play enormous creatures using the effects like garruk's. Using that strategy, I can easily play a progenitus, requiem angel, or craterhoof behemoth turn three and if it's the behemoth, then that could be a turn three/four win.

Well duh. But I said not much. Of course boardwipe kills him. But I'll still have predator ooze. Besides, how am I supposed to stop boardwipe? Do you think that I should run spearbreaker behemoth?

You need to ease off the green mana costs. Make it a little bit more black. If you don't you'll have problems with liliana, predator ooze, desecration demon, and cards like that. I think that you should drop blue also. Sower is good, but there are better cards to use in its place. Desecration demon is too easily shut down in modern, so maybe try a demon of death's gate or something. I like the birds of paradise, eternal witness won't be useful at the start of the game and might need to go, (I'm sorry that I don't have replacements, I've never run a modern deck like this.) You'll need some shroud or hexproof if you want to survive anything, so try thrun, or something similar, and replace the countering spells with black boardwipe, (preferably effective black boardwipe, but that can be expensive) You don't need to worry about enormous creatures in modern tournaments, so inquisition is good. You'll want to be careful with the scavenging ooze, as it's only green mana and can easily be shut down be opponents. And finaly, Garruk relentless should not be in this deck. If you really want it, then only use one of them. Do you want me to recommend lands? Or would that overwhelm you...

I like it a lot. I'm actually about to post a deck with predator oozes in it. I think that you might need another liliana, and of course be careful with cards like that, they can be dangerous if they fill your hand. I think that instead of the shock lands you'd do better with fetch lands. your deck is getting there, but isn't yet tournament worthy in my opinion. keep it up and tell me if you need anything else. :)

Door of destinies? or is that not sliver enough for you... Also try sliver overlord, sliver queen, and sliver legion.

Add glissa, A great card for modern. First strike death touch 3/3 for 3. They probably won't want to block it or attack if it's untapped and it's inexpensive.

I'd go with an imposing sovereign, maybe a gideon jura or two, and probably some builder's blessing, also try gideon's avenger and some alternate ways to untap your other creatures. Then I'll like your deck.

My only problem with running more than one or two nykthos is that it's a legendary land. I don't want to be stuck with them in my hand when I already have one down. But I'll try it.
