Ironically I have a deck that is almost identical to this. Looks pretty good though. Great build. Here is mine: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=257840

You do realize that Desolation works on you as well. If I were you, I'd add in a card called Crucible of Worlds. It will allow you to play the lands that you are forced to sacrifice from your graveyard.
Thank you sir. Your Vampire deck looks pretty nice. I like it.
I've found the same in my Progenitus deck. Plus I'd be afraid of getting caught without 2 Blue mana. But I did decide to include Stoic Rebuttal for a hard counter.
Actually I was not aware of that. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I'll make a few quick changes then.
Actually I have no plans of doing that at all. I use the Vivid lands just in the off chance that I don't have a color that I need. I've found that in EDH they are very useful. Especially in my Progenitus EDH. If I have a Blue and Black land but no white. Then the vivid lands will give me a white mana that I need.
Ichor Claw Myr would be more helpful than Contagion Clasp. You can use Tezzeret to turn him into a 5/5 creature with Infect. When he blocks or becomes blocked he gets +2/+2 so he becomes a 7/7. Throw your sword on him and he has potential to be a 9/9 with Infect and the sword affects.
A lot of people have said that but I've never had a problem with it. The only problem I've ever had with running Mox Opal is drawing both of them. Since they are legendary I can't have both in play at once. But when Scars rotates out next year I'll be able to rectify that problem.
Oh, another card to consider is Stormtide Leviathan.
Nice build. I've also had a small fascination with Ula's Temple. While it was in standard I had a deck built around it. I can tell you that you run more creatures than I did. But I always found it useful to have cards that allow you to stack your deck. You have Brainstorm, but it's always good to have more. I would do this: -4 Hatchlings / +4 Augury Owl -2 to 4 Islands / +2 to 4 Halimar Depths That will let you "stack" your deck more often and make Ula's Temple active quicker. Here is my current Ula's Temple deck. I went a different route with mine. And it works extremely well. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=82714
Sounds good to me. Play testing is always the best route when you're unsure about what to do. Be sure to let us all know how it turns out. Care to give your thoughts on my deck? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=163442
Ponder is a great card. And can really give you an edge when you're up against the wall. Since Jace, the Mind Sculptor was banned, then rotated out. I use 3 Ponder in my Tezzeret Control deck. They come in really handy. If it were me, I'd do this. -3 Think Twice +2 Unburial Rites +1 Elesh Norn Changes look really good. Sideboard looks pretty solid. I like it.
Yeah, running 3 colors is hard. I try to stick to 2 colors at most for standard. Stony Silence might be a good option. DoJ would probably work better for you. I was just thinking Extraction with Life's Finale. If you wanted some discard I would probably take out Think Twice for a discard card.
I would agree. The setup you have looks like it would fairly well. I would still run Ratchet Bombs in the sideboard to take out token decks. You could also sideboard Life's Finale as well. As for anything else, I really don't know what you would need to sideboard. Cause I have no idea what's being played in your area. Best thing I can say is figure out what's being played a lot in your area and put cards in the sideboard that will help you take those decks down.
This looks a lot like a Solar Flare deck. I think that unburial rites would benefit this deck. And if you're wanting to use Extraction, I would use Life's Finale over Black Sun Zenith. I would run Shimmering Grotto to use with Praetor's Grasp. As for sideboard, I would run Ratchet Bombs for token decks. And if you decide to run Unburial Rites Id put in Sheoldred, and Elesh Norn.
As a player who started in the Kamigawa block. I have to say I love this deck. I love spirits and how they work. I must say I'm impressed with this. It's not often you see a Spirit deck, much less an aggro deck of these colors. But you did a great job. And it reminds me of my Spirit deck, which is also Black/White. But mine is designed around life steal. (Link below) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=167207 Again great job.
Replace Akoum Refuge with Dragonskull Summit. Burning Inquiry is good late game when you have a few Caress or Megrims out. But in the early game, it really hurts you rather than help you. I'd suggest finding a 1 drop discard spell. Like Thoughtseize or maybe even Hymn of Tourach. Quest for the Nihil Stone is a great 1 drop enchantment for discard decks as well.
This reminds me a lot of my life drain deck. I really don't see a point to Soul Link. You really have no offensive creatures to make the most of it. Words of Worship look amazing. In fact, I'll have to add into my deck. Simply to use it along side another card. You might try adding in some offensive type creatures with lifelink to help defend you and gain you more life. Vampire Nighthawk and the Divinity of Pride are good examples. Here is my life steal deck if you'd like to take a look at it. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=167207
I love the deck idea. Since you're running blue, I'd consider throwing some counter spells into the sideboard. And I'd probably take out 2 Wurms and replace them with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon.
I have to say, that is pretty wicked. I like the combo dude.
