Mogis is supposedly the "God of Slaughter." I think you've earned that title instead with this one. Absolutely brutal.

Rings of Brighthearth, Torpor Orb, Static Orb, and Humility. Gotta fuck with people's stuff a little bit more. But otherwise I really like it.

Static Orb is especially nice since Atraxa has vig.

And due to that fact, I decided to scrap the deck. Ha. I still think it's a damn-near optimal build for this type of deck.

It certainly crossed my mind to run both Damnations main board, but I don't know quite yet if I'll feel that necessary until I really play the Modern field. It is definitely a brutal card that this deck ought to be able to recover from okay, no doubt.

This is a tasty "fuck it" deck, ha. Of course it isn't reliable but I'm sure it feels good when you pull off that W! I'm also sure if I played something like this against my buddies they'd only let me play it once after pulling off a win.

I definitely gave Rotting Rats a look but I remember feeling they weren't a stronger play than any of the creatures I already have in the deck list. They'll likely stay on a short list of cards to consider should I decide to shake things up with the decklist. Thanks for the feedback!

My buddy and I have been making a Modern werewolves deck for him actually, and it looks very similar to this one, so I guess we're all doing something right, ha. I have two suggestions in mind: one would be dropping a Howlpack Resurgence in favor of another Full Moon's Rise as the sac'ing to regen your wolves feature is pretty goddamn useful and trumps the flash and +1 to toughness Howlpack provides, all while also costing one CMC more. I also suggest adding at least one Kessig Wolf Run as it's both flavorful here and definitely also useful. Also, while I don't have any suggested cuts for this card, Atarka's Command could be useful as well, at the very least it may be worth a sideboard slot or two. Great Modern werewolves deck, man! I'm gonna be showing my buddy this one.

I appreciate the suggestion as always, DedWards! You know, I tried out the Duelist during the prerelease and I found it sneakily useful, but I'm definitely open to swapping it out for the Masquerade in playtesting and see if I'd rather that card sticks. I can't deny you make good points. It was certainly a fringe card I had in the mix. Thanks for taking a look at it!

Love the full deck name and puns, I didn't see that before, haha. We gonna make these Modern Werewolves run like they did that one time in Kessig! Seriously though, once you find the perfect combo of cards I think this deck can absolutely be competitive and will turn some heads at a Modern tourney.

Yeah it seems like it could be a fun deck if it works properly. I added two Wild Guesses to add a little more card draw and discard fun, and I went to three Lilianas because I'm being realistic about what I'm willing to buy while not compromising the deck's efficiency. Hopefully this is the deck list that sticks!

This be the saltiest deck I've seen since Kiora sent a Crashing Wave at me Merchant Ship on our Treasure Hunt. Ay, I had to lift me eye patch to wipe a tear away from me bad eye it stirred me brined heart so.

That's what counts the most, my good man, having fun!

Well, actually, winning some games and getting some free cards is even more fun, who am I kidding? :P haha. Glad to hear it was a success!

Seems like the type of deck that would likely catch somebody off guard once, but not twice! That's still sometimes enough to will another win out in some way. I was going to say you better have a creature and hope it sticks but I see you covered that as essential to this deck's strategy. Cool deck, dude!

As of right now I'm flirting with the idea of Lingering Souls because it pairs so well with discard mechanics and provides creatures to boot but you're right, it definitely makes the deck more expensive. I'm also tinkering with keeping it Rakdos at present. Lightning Axe with Fiery Temper is pretty lethal as far as targeted kill spell pairings go, I reeeeally just wish the Axe didn't only do creature damage. However, I'll give it more consideration and probably will playtest it too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Haha, well he's a pretty badass card. I felt the same way about seeing a Planeswalker for the first time (Ajani Goldmane for me) and couldn't believe how cool it was. It definitely helped suck me in to the world of Magic to pull a card like that early on for me.

Well, I honestly think Temper is actually pretty sweet because it plays into the discard strategy and still works as a Lightning Bolt to boot. If I have to discard a Lightning Bolt it literally does nothing for me. I almost never have to hard cast Temper unless I draw it late game which by that point I don't care if I have excess mana.
