Well, NOW this vacation resort wifi decided to load the comments saying to post here xD after I commented on the original one already, well, no matter, I too am here to stay, as infrequent my appearances may be.Also, I am very glad to be here, when I got invited to the first one I was basically still a total noob in some things, and here I am xD Thank you to whoever invited me, can't remember who that wasPS: Love the name being "reloaded" for two reasons, the firs one being matrix and the second being that I was expecting a lame TDA2 name so props for that too!

Well I do love myself some legacy version of a neat modern strategy so +1 from me. Going mardu is bold to say the least, perhaps even worse in many cases but I like it nonetheless. The one thing I dislike is Curse of the Forsaken, it feels... out of place, very, very situational, and that would be still ok if you had some discard outlets so that it doesn't just sit there and do nothing
In light of the "Mardu Madness" madness that the community has been experiencing I made this:http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budget-modern-mardu-madness/My own budget take on it with a crappy mana base and 0 Lilianas but a deck of my dreams nonetheless, I hope the description explains it well enough.Thoughts?
That I have no doubts about, this post is here to satay till the servers burn, but I meant the old, or obsolete, posts, they are getting deleted, that is why I would be in favor of a new post, though the drawbacks of staying here are minimal, negligible.
I feel like it is kinda discarding the legacy that we've built but "meh" It's not like having one less thing to be nostalgic about in 5 years is that big of a deal
MAAAAAN xD I was like "I'm gonna comment about a few cards as well as reply to the description"And then I saw this comment! Bravo sir! You really did cover it all
So am I, even though it may not come across as such, but you can still see me comment something on the front page from time to time or make yet another weird budget control deck for modern every now and then.
Sorin, either solemn visitor or lord of innistrad seems good in the deck too, besides that addition I agree with everything you said, with the main argument for the swamp instead of a mountain being blood moon though.Tasigur eh? Not sure I agree here, he run neither blue nor green...
What? xD Is this literally just sticking 2 decks into 1?
Very akin to what I would love to play, though I prefer pox so after I get a full orzhov build I'll begin moving towards a version of this.Though, I never figured out whether skred red or pure oppression builds are better in modern...
Well, it may be a rough draft but he is at least as obsessed with mono red oppression control in modern as I am with pox, just check out his decks, he has so many versions of this in so many color pairs
Gotta love that mentor, I would actually like to see him in action, especially against the decks that have more to be punished for than just fetches
Seeing this without Life from the loam is something new, perhaps worse but interesting nonetheless
Well now, I have few things to say; first, check out the deck now, this was built a long time ago when I had very little knowledge of modern with the idea being immunity towards removal.Fatal push was not around back then and is just not that good with no fetches, though there are metagames, and not just a few of them, that would still support it very well. The problem is the color pair, it wants to run Lili, Snap, Cryptic Command, Creeping Tar pit, it simply cannot be made on a budget, instead check these out as this one is dead and gone;http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budget-modern-rakos-control/http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budget-azorius-emeria-titan/http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budgetish-modern-grixiscontrol/http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budgetish-modern-mardumidrange/And thanks for the feedback, while the deck is past saving, it is still very nice to find someone who takes the time to improve them.
Nothing anymore, you just had 5 or 6 of some cards where the game only allows for 4
There is...
Man, as long as you get a modern tournament once a month be happy about it. I am from Slovakia and unless you live in the capital you might as well give up on most, if not all, non standard formats. But I am trying to push modern and pauper, with the surrounding cities having a big highlander population.
Well the death's shadow decks seem quite manageable, our deck packs a lot more value, especially in the form of removal. And tron will find it hard should we hit a smallpox, that is a big "if" though, you are very much right about tron. Gifted Aetherborn is on the "playtest me" list, you are very correct to point out it's advantages, yet it does die to out 6 "pox" copies and leaves nothing behind. I shall test him for sure though.
Made me giggle :D Great comment. I wish there were people willing to play modern more often than twice or thrice a year at my lgs, or town rather. But this is by no means a deck that I would go for.
Hmm, are the odd, yet logical, numbers of specific cards a result of perpetual refinement or is the deck just being tested?Cause Dungeon Geists for example seems rather unconventional, so does just 3x Spell Queller.I gotta say I like the deck a lot, especially the Spirit of the Labyrinth idea.
