Very, very well said, one can almost feel your love for the deck, but perhaps it's just the pox player in me totally feeling ya xD.Anyway, I totally agree on... basically everything, especially the rules change, I was a few days from buying boros LD for modern, had all the b/b and flagstones trades setup and then the freaking change hit... Gah, nevermind.I can't really disagree on anything here, but to pitch in my two cents as well:1. More fninishers, either more GDD or dragons, depending on your metageame you can choose between stormbreath and thundermaw.2. No Faithless Lootings, the card is truly not needed in the deck and you can find (especially with trinisphere) much better replacemnts in the form of more LD or blood moon.3. If you are gonna keep boom//bust in, I would suggest at least a couple darksteel citadels to make for some explosive draws.

Whilst it is useful, waste not is... sub-optimal to say the least. That is the conclusion most people, myself included, reach when testing the card in 8rack specifically.
zulaport cutthroat perhaps?
I feel like it adds a lot of consistency to getting the combo
Commune with the gods
money? probably money
Volt Charge is such an extremely fresh and cool idea, bravo! Not to mention my love for pox and red prison decks
It aint no dissing man, just stating facts about the statistical and gameplay affecting inferiority, if the minimum card requirement was 20 you would only see 20 card decks, less is always better due to the higher chance of drawing the best cards. And a very nice fix to the deck, may I suggest Lightning Bolt instead of shock? Or lightning helix perhaps?
Uhm... What? Though, I dare not question it, I don't think I have the time or willpower to go through this one
Not a matter of OCD, though I suppose I a one for not breaking the mold to achieve literally a no benefit all drawback situation. To explain more in depth the things I was saying.1. There is a reason for decks sticking to the 60 card limit and never peaking above (save 100 card formats ofc.) The reason being that statistically speaking, it is terrible, atrocious, suuuper bad for consistency, for your winrate even.So the first thing I'd do is go to 60 cards.2. No dual lands, take Boros Guildgate, Wind-Scarred crag, Clifftop retreat, Sacred foundry, even Evolving wilds, fixing is needed.3. To go up to 6 mana on turn 6 consistently enough to make 6 mana cards worth running, you would need at least 24 lands in 60 cardsI am simply posing arguments for improving the deck, and yes, for the first, and perhaps this comment as well, they may have come across as aggressive or insulting, but cold logic is the way I go around things.
I struggle to wrap my head around this one, FNM with a non standard deck, right? What is the format of your FNM then?furthermore, the deck is extremely scattershot, a "basic black" starter deck would look like this. Neither midragne nor control, and definitely not aggro or combo. I would love to help but simply don't know how, don't know what the deck is meant to be, seeing as how your description simply describes all that black does, and so does your deck. And ramming "all" into any deck never works out.
Just out of curiosity, why copy a bad deck, and change neither the description nor the deck itself?
extremely well said DedWards, I think you really mentioned everything, besides the lack of draw the deck could suffer from in red, as well as the lack of draw here in this one, Harmonize and/or Commune would be my go to cards for that but you did not fail to mention those too so good job again.
4 treetops seem heavy, everything else I love
Why 64 cards? And just 22 lands without fixing for a deck that wants to reach 6 mana without ramp?
Targeting spellskite I did not think about, still though, a playset does seem like an overkill, but you have convinced me to the point where I could see certain metagames supporting larger numbers of the card.
Hmm, I guess pact and lightning bolt fit right in, Without Weakness seems like more of a sideboard card, even with the handy cycling
Hmm, how does this beat mono red? I'd also include some SB answers to control so that your big payoff cards will be safe from counter magic.Other than that, I love it, I was thinking of MBC for standard for some time now and this looks pretty good, props!
I have... so long ago in fact that I no longer know what exactly it brought to the market/featured.That aside, I would be in favor of such an idea, though it might turn out a failure, and I might be a part of the reason why xD
Maaan, 63 cards? Really? Why? The deck itself seems very scattershot but I can imagine it working in a casual setting
