i'd probably run something like this if i wanted to be competitive: http://www.mtgvault.com/pigeons/decks/feel-the-bernver-2/ basically, put a nova chaser on top of your library, then play it from your hand for cheap, discard a glarewielder for its evoke cost and swing away. do it twice and game over. all the other cards are really just window dressing for that combo.

ugh i know this deck is all over the place and it'd be so easy to optimize it and pair it down to just the best creatures, but then i'm like "but this creature looks too cool not to include :( " haha
didn't know it existed. awesome card, thanks. i don't have gemstone cavern in the deck though, do you mean reflecting pool?
yeah that was the joke :P
hilarious and awesome deck...who ever thought of killing someone by GIVING them life? i love it.
so basically what you're saying is...if i play a lot of flyers i'll win?
also, dropped it down to 1 necropotence and 1 vampiric tutor so it's actually legal in vintage, and added in more tutors.
oooh, good card. added that in, took out all the green to try to fix the curve, threw in dark betrayal for killing the abyssal.
wait, relentless rats gets around the normal 100 card restriction for commander? that's neat
this is your first deck and you had over 2 grand worth of cards? haha...lucky. some of these cards are legendary...exploration, regrowth, strip mine, gaea's cradle, yavimaya hollow, emerald mox...
doubt anyone really wants to pay 600 bucks for a standard deck anyway haha...that's more like vintage/legacy prices
so it's released with the set and has the symbol from that set...but isn't from that set? that's not logical, at all. that literally makes no sense...i mean okay, whatever, but that's dumb. so i guess it's not a standard legal deck then, oh well. edit: ohhhh, i see. it isn't actually the same symbol. didn't even notice...
this deck makes me feel stupid, because i can't for the life of me figure out how it works...what am i missing?
man that azor's elocutors card gives me ideas for a deck built around it....something about generating extra turns and i guess lots of counter spell type cards to prevent direct damage...
Hah! Awesome combo. Tricky.
Wondering if i should replace the 2 wild-field scarecrows with 2 explosive apparatus, instead? also wondering if i can/should work like 2 corrupted grafstones in there as well. maybe drop 2 tormenting voices to fit them in? or drop 2 vessels?
if you wanted to put in some better creatures you could put in some levitation, then drop the squadron hawk and stormscape familar down to 2. then you could fit in 4 strong creatures that would then have flying and still boost your pride of the clouds and get the bonus from favorable winds. it would also give you the possibility of giving flying to the tokens you get from gather the townsfolk.
i'm not your friend, guy!
if i take out the blue i could still achieve the same basic effect with cards like armored ascension, nimbus wings...stuff like that. makes the mana curve higher but it'd probably be alright. edit: i just don't want to lose the rhox war monk. low cost, decent power/toughness and lifelink...but if i keep it i'd have to splash blue and i feel like there's not enough card draw or mana ramp to find the few islands. if i kept say, the two aqueous forms and dropped the 2 artful dodge and distortion strike, which 4 blue cards would you include in their place?
do you really need anything other than unblockable though? an unblockable loxodon smiter with a warhammer on it would hurt pretty good. 3 turns and you lose. it's easily counterable of course. blue control decks, doom blades, path to exiles, mind controls, domestication, even just things that tap it. but that's how theme decks are. you tend to sacrifice lots of power and competitiveness to stay within the theme. i think it's got good potential for what it is.
