i could be wrong but i dont think adding a +1+1 counter removes a -1-1 counter so i dont think those combos actually work. however quillspike combos quite nicely with devoted druid. and midnight guard is best friends with presence of gond.

i think i would add some bounce to control your opponents creatures and also to return venerated teacher to your hand and replay him. You wanna level your creatures up as fast as possible and the teacher gives you the most bang for your buck. I would also add some kind of creature protection cause you dont wanna spend all kinds of mana getting your troops level maxed just to have them exiled. maybe kira great glass spinner or something.

no when you play thespians stage it comes into play as thespians stage. then you can turn it into dark depths and since dark depths says it comes into play with 10 counters on and it didnt actually come into play as dark depths it doesnt have those counters on it. then before the legend rule takes effect, sac it as a fast effect. the legend rule is different now anyways. you get to choose which one dies and which one lives. they dont both die anymore which kinda screwed up my friends graveyard kokusho combo... good news for me lol anyways i could be wrong but that is how it was explained to me

thespian's stage is a fun alternative to hex parasite. it comes into play as itself so when you copy dark depths it doesn't get the counters on it. instant marit lage.

utvara hellkite is kinda cool in this deck. a perm 6/6 flyer for one red

immortal servitude does the job of the angel a little more efficiently.

ya thatd be a good idea making your second main phase that much more effective. but i think i would run a few elves that can beat face in a pinch. im not really a big elf guy so idk what off the top of my head but i do know there are some powerful ones out there

looking good! honestly though i would exchange the expedition maps for crop rotation. much much faster. and i think i would scrap land destruction altogether and go with more elves.

and if you do decide to go elves i would definitely suggest elvish harbinger for searching up joraga and devoted druid. maybe a nissa revane too
