update: even more consistent with my recent changes :) after extensive testing, i can usually keep hands with +3 lands. works great :)

contemplating beseech the queen in place of sensei's divining top, any thoughts?
eh, i'm constantly taking it out and putting manaleak in, and visa-versa. tbh, i haven't figured out the best combination yet, it's prolly somewhere in-between. but demigod is great, i don't run any lands that can't help cast it, all the lands can be tapped for either red or black :D
needs moar storm crow. that way you can lose through a bad hand if not through seppuku
human lord/game-breaking werewolf, either side is horrible for your opponents :)
Poison the well is nice LD and on color too
i liked for the name alone. how did this deck do in draft? it makes me want to try BW in limited :)
a one of Thraximundar can be killer with rooftop storm or burnt offering :)
also, cabal coffers can net you insane mana for that manabase.
snuff out might prove more effective than contagion. Anyway, i love the build, but any deck that can fit a necropotence into it is broken, sorry. It's that good of a card.
great deck, needs the green/white manland
My sides hath split after expelling a jovial raucous on the linoleum, good sir
Thanks for commenting, I just bought a lot of the new Avacyn Restored cards to put in this deck, so I probably won't be spending much more money on it any time soon, but I'd love to hear your critiques anyway! You have quite the reputation here on this website, so I'd be very interesting on what you have to say. The basic plan of this deck is to stick a Kaalia, add any of the many ways to protect her into the mix, and hold off all attacks until you can resolve an Iona or an armageddon type card. In that sense, it sort of has an apocalyptic theme, so stuff like Comet Storm and Life's Finale serve more of a flavor purpose than a utility one. Still, Kaalia is an incredibly powerful commander, and I find my build very synergistic and flavorful, and still fun even with a few "unfun" spike cards thrown in. I'm not the type of guy to armageddon a battlefield turn four or tutor up an Iona against a mono-colored deck, so I think they balance out, especially since I intentionally run a minimal amount of hate cards. Anyway, thanks again for commenting!
ah, ye old devoted druid/quillspike combo... love it, wish you could smack a kulrath knight in there though, he's been a favorite of mine since he came out
thanks bro, let me know how it does!
btw about the spells, some i got some original, but the graveborn deck did help, i like the foils of the cards and the new frames. i'm still working on the entombs, the cabal therapies, and the grindstones, cause they are really expensive.
well, my advice is always play with the cards you love. if someone tells you one card is great but you don't like playing with it, use the card you want to play instead. is more fun that way :)
i loled :)
tbh, the alpha lands are broken, but they aren't even the best lands. the greatest lands of all time are the fetchlands, which i just added to the deck -- brings up the consistency quite a bit, if it makes us a little vulnerable to aggro, but that's what a sideboard is for :)
well, if you want to tempt fate, 4 is probably the stopping point for me, but that's what makes this deck so brilliant -- the hand disruption alone keeps it alive for one of the two combos to go off. you usually want to be naming cabal therapy on force of will, thoughtseize any early plays your opponent has. if you havent drawn either combo by turn 5, then you're just plum outta luck. might invest on some black card draw, but i don't think that's necessary. grindstone even combos with reanimator on this deck, you have so many black cards, if you have a grindstone + reanimator spell in hand, you'll more than likely hit a fatty/painter's servant. so there are very few hands that i want to mulligan lower than 5 or 4.
