Yeah I can really see you're going for all out aggression in this build.Just for me personally, whenever I make a deck with blue in it I feel this necessary obligation to run counterspells because, well it's blue, and why the heck not :P

Yeah like Shagnasty said, on the off chance you do face control (you might as well forfeit) you're going to want to sideboard in the Aetherlings and probably some counterfluxes too
The four turn win is a hypothetical situation, I'm just saying it can happenThis deck has it's counters, yes, but ffs what deck doesn't have a counter -.-
Honestly lifegain is the WORST answer to this deck. Blue control is a better counter.Ok so say you have 25-30 life on turn 4 and I just hit you for 22That leaves you at 3-8By turn 5 I can hit you for another combo and the longer the games go on the harder this deck hits because damage from Guttersnipe begins to accumulate (especially if you have more than 1 on the field) and your hand gets filled with more instants/sorceries to pump up Cyclops
swan song is basically a negate for 1 manait's not essential for the deck but it is optimal just like how most pro decks will run shocklands rather than guildgates
True.To be honest you can swap out the 3 Dispels and 3 Swan Songs for your choice of any 6 blue counterspells.I've just chosen Dispel and Swan Song because they're 1 mana and they do what we want.
Hello everyone! Quite a few of you have been asking for a new Theros edition of the deck/suggesting cards from Theros for a new and improved version of the deck so here it is; v2 of Izzet Four Turn Winhttp://www.mtgvault.com/memnite/decks/standard-izzet4tw-v2-theros/I'm very excited to say that Theros has made this deck more reliable, more consistent, more competitive and most importantly: more fun! Seriously this deck just got better in every way so check out my new build in the link above if you're interested. Thank you all for your continued support and I hope you enjoy v2 as much as v1
Yepp just posted a new comment!
hey! nice to know you proved wrong some of those people who are like:"THIS WILL NEVER EVER EVER WIN IN 4 TURNS LIAR HERE I WILL EVEN LIST EVERY SINGLE CARD THAT STOPS THIS STRAT"
I like the suggestions with taking out essence scatter and putting in more negates/dispels so i've changed the deck a bitpeople have mentioned blistercoil weird but im not sure what to take out for thatim not really feeling dynacharge though mostly because my opponent can block the damage if i swing with anything other than nivix
seems a bit overkill haha
like what?the only others i can think of is divination
steam vents is a great card yes but shocklands are at least half the price of this deck just for 1 copy :(
you don't have to play nivix turn 3 that was just my example of a turn 4 killin reality you should hold out playing your combo until you can answer any counters or removal
ill be looking forward to seeing it
I'd love to put that in but there's no space left in the Main Deck OR Sideboard :/
Right you are. Dat bombo..... It's no longer a OHKO now :(
Turn 1 Elvish Mystic (G)Turn 2 Ajani 1(W)(W)I know you're running multicolour lands but Ajani cost double white (and also battledriver cost double red)idk if you can get them straight out especially because of your mana base (a lot of your lands come into play tapped that early in the game)how much is ajani, battle driver and kalonian hydra again?
clean up completeI like your suggestions but to do that I'd have to splash green which is such a pain :/
Ill be blunt: If Mirko can't deal combat then his effect won't proc then the MILLING aspect of the deck falls apart. However that's where Consuming Aberration and Desecration Demon come in. Giving any of those 2 bad boys double strike deals huge amounts of raw DAMAGE instead of going for mill. Also, Desecration Demon's effect + the 6 removal cards help clear a path for Mirko to attack directly.Haven't playtested it yet because I'm still trading for 2 more Resonators.I think the deck is still in it's early stages (as you can see from the state of the sideboard)
