I actually value positive criticism and I actually have taken into account people's comments and made some changes to the decklist as a result. Sorry for being rude I just got a bit defensive when people just assume outright that I'm a trash deckbuilder/player for wanting to build a fun budget peasant deck

however in my honest opinion taking out the control in a deck that relies too much on cyclops being alive and putting in hidden strings (i say why it's a bad choice in earlier comments) doesnt seem like a good idea

I feel it's not worth splashing green for removal especially when black white has pretty decent answers for controlly cards

also in the description i've also said to only drop your combo once you're prepared with the sufficient counterspells in your hand to stop any removal

Also the main wincon of WW quest cry is through argentum armour on a flier like ornithopter/skyfisher/glinthawk
the weenie questcry bit (where steppe lynx comesin) is plan b

The original Izzet Blitz deck by travis woo doesn't even run hidden strings because it has a full playset of artful dodge. Hidden string is bad choice too especially because you're running so many flashback cards you dont even need the cipher proc. need i remind you that cipher only procs when you deal combat damage too so you can only tap blockers afterwards when you''re already past the combat stage as well as that Hidden strings isnt even instant speed.

If i wanted to play Izzet Blitz with Innistrad block I would've just copied travis woo's decklist

To be honest Ill probably build izzet blitz with innistrad now since they're pretty cheap but as soon as it rotates ill switch to something like this

drop cyclops
you try counter/remove
I dispel/negate/izzet charm
I attack with cyclops
you try remove
I hexproof/dispel/negate/izzet charm

vses control id bring in more lategame powerhouses like aetherling or jace since i know it's going to be a longer game

If you read the article you could've just run plains and other powerful 1 drops like elitevanguard/ardent recruit instead of lynx/fetches
yeah they're nowhere near as powerful as a landfall'd steppe lynx but the deck can still function very well without them; they aren't essential to the strategy

I like the first 2 suggestions but young pyromancer is a bit too slow for my taste
The 1/1 tokens don't really do that much (yes they can chump block but I can just counter anything that they play or burn it)

My strat only revolves attacking once when you're ready and countering anything that wants to remove nivix when he's pumped up

Because i'm only attacking once the cipher on Hidden strings is useless especially because I can make cyclops unblockable with teleportal

If you took out the $20 fetchlands in the main deck then the cost would be $20
Budget decks that are competitive are hard to find but they do exist

Deck relies too heavily on Cyclops combo not to run controlly cards
the deck you saw was probably a variant of Izzet Blitz which is a far greater build because you have the cheap draw and flashback effects that the Innistrad block offers

Yeah Izzet Blitz is a superior deck because it has so much draw and Nivix Cyclops and Flashback is OP

But Innistrad is rotating out so...
